I am using dual 7219 7-segment displays (2 x 3 digits on each 7219) for a COM radio, one set to the Active freq and the other set to the Standby freq. I also have dual rotary encoders to change the standby freq. The standby freq used to update whenever I turned the rotary encoder to match what was in MSFS but now it does not change until I hit the button to swap the active and standby frequencies.

I also have the 7-seg display going blank problem, but I see that is known and a fix is due so I'm not sure if this is the same root cause or something else.

I not fully understand the nature of problem for now....

The "known" Bug means the Displays ( If there was no change within the last 15Min) goes Blank. they come back if a new value is send. So in your example if you turn encoder 1 detent a the COM Stby change then Display would work again ( For antoher 15 mins).

But what you report sounds different!

MF basically show simply the value of the Variable we choose.

So if you turn encoder and the "virtual" Value change, then also Display will change same time.
If not there must be a issue..... But NOT related to the bug above!


Please give us more deatails.... Or maybe a instruction to rebuild this in a test situation.
