Hi,

I just installed two daisychained 5-digit 7 segment displays in my 737 overhead panel and everything works perfectly...
unless I change the displayed values very quickly, the corresponding display suddently turns black and only turns back on after fully restarting the mobiflight software on my pc.

This can be reproduced on both of the daisychained modules.

Does anyone have a clue what I'm doing wrong? Or is this a known issue?

Hi. We not have reports about this....
But that looks to me more like a invalid value...
Your Display goes blank, after turn it a lot of time fast into the left....
Display decrease from 5000ft and stop working at 2000ft.

I would expect "maybe" at that moment (in case of fast turn) you already was on "0 ft" .... The display take some moments to update if you make encoder Inputs.
If the Logic of Aircraft prevent a entry of "less the 0" then for sure it crash.
Do you have a protection ???
E.g. by using Events instead of $-xxx" for that....
Or something like "If Value is below xxx then not say $-xxx remain at the lowest value !

We need to get more into this and check where issue happen.... But always think about the real situation. In a real B737 you would not turn the Encoder in this speed if you still reach 2000ft landing Alt.
So to figure this out..... Is your testing situiation "realistic" ?
E.g. a landing Alt is between -50ft in some Areas and 8000ft in others.
There is no need to turn this knob in extreme speeds.
For 99% of flights you will change this value just by +/- 1000 ft and can do this slowly without rush !

The value displayed in mobiflight (and the simulator) was still valid when my 7-seg-display failed (I reproduced this today to make sure that was the case).
As recommended I switched to using commands instead of offsets.

I also moved to the awesome new option of directly using X-Plane Commands in mobiflight instead of FSUIPC.
(This eliminates the possibility of an error in my XPUIPXOffsets config causing the problem).

With these changes I can no longer reproduce the problem!

You are also correct that turning the knob at high speeds is rather unlikely in real use, but when while testing I can now do it even faster then before without any problems.

You not tell me in initial request you talk about Xplane and using the old XPIUIPC Interface!!!!


there i could tell you already that fast inputs will not work. Here we not talk to the Sim.... We need a bypass over 3-4 stations.

By the way....

I see your the same guy with the other request i awnserd 5 mins ago..... PLEASE. For the future... Always tell us in every single topic you create here, what SIM and what AIRCRAFT you use !!!!! Each System got it own rules. We can only help if we know what we talk about !
And please also apollogy that you have to do this over and over again. I talk to 30+ People same time all over the world. I can not remember if we talk 2 weeks ago in a other topic what aircraft you use !. So be so kind and always tell it to us, for every single new request !
