Hi guys

I'm using the 28BYJ-48 stepper motor for my flap gauge.
It's working great and stopping on the spot for every flaps step.
But if the fsuipc value>0 it keep updating the position with an annoying clicking.
I've read in the forum that the stepper has a holding current, but it is possible stop it when the FSUIPC's values are constant? Maybe for a defined period of time?

Thanks
Regards

I not understand the problem an need more informations.

If the problem would be the holding current, then same porblem woul also occure on Flpas 1,2,5,10 and so on. It would simply work against the weight of the needle.
(as more as the angle of needle is away from center of gravity.

I also not understand the information ">0" means if FSUIPC is greater 0 something happen..... FSUIPC is greater 0 at all time if flaps are in use. But you say on the other side that all positions work fine.

Can you tell us a little more detailed when exactly the problem occure?
Good Luck !

Hi Pizman

If FSUIPC value>0 the stepper will be energized I now understand that this is normal.
My problem was that my stepper's plastic gear were too noisy I sprayed some grease and now is working very quiet.

Thanks

I still feel confused.

A Stepper is a Motor that is moved to a special postion by the the System.
Also when FSUIPC Value = 0 its powerd .... Cause it have to Move and hold the predefined "0" Position.

Or to say this better.... The Controller is powerd (UL2003) . If Value remains in "0" then the motor not have to move but power is still there!
So the FSUIPC Value (whatever 0 or >0) have no effect to the power of the Controller or Motor !
Good Luck !
