Hi Sebastian,
I have just looked at your tutorial for the landing gear and leds using MobiFlight and 2020.
I am currently using fsx with a arduino mega, the question is how do I program the switch and leds in MobiFlight as I surely cannot use the same programming as for the 2020 version, or can I?
Your response would be appreciated.

Kind regards
Jakes

Hi

Basically you can! Its just a question if this is a good idea!

In the past the only way to talk to the Sim(s) was "FSUIPC". See it like a "interface" or "transmitter" between Mobiflight and the Sim.
So we (that time) not talk to the Sim itself.... We talk to FSUIPC and receive or send data to it, and FSUIPC finally get or give this Data into the sim.
(Also Xplane was done so. There we use XPUIPC that is techical the same from point of View of MF)

Today we got a additional Tool. The Mobiflight WASM for Fs2020.
Here we no longer need the FSUIPC Bypass and can directly Read and write Data (Variables) in the FS2020 Sim.

The way to handle this in MF is from the basic idea identical.
So in FSUIPC was a "Offset" that include the Landing Gear Position .... In FS2020 there is a Variable that include the same.
(FSUIPC technical also just read the Variables and put data into there Offsets).
BUT... The new logic is more smart and allow better and deeper access to the Sim.

**********
Result.... And why you can use the old way already.....
Also for FS2020 exist a FSUIPC Version.
Means you can download it and use MF same way as in the past.
Not smart, not state of the art, but possible !
Good Luck !
