New to Mobiflight and trying to get it to manipulate the sim. I have the latest Mobilflight and FSUIPC7.
I am using a Elegoo 2560 Mega R3 and can configure the inputs to change as far as Mobilfight is concerned. I have tried every type of offset event and everything in between but it will not operate the switch in the sim MSFS20. Checked to see if the events folder was in the community folder and it is there.
Everything is green as far as the status is concerned still doesn't work.
Just trying to get a simple landing light switch to operate. I tried it with x plane also and no luck. Any help would be appreciated. You tube videos don't seem to help.
Thanks in advance.

Hi

this can have multiple reasons.
At first please check/Confirm you have a Sim connection ( Lower line in MF Window) .... Is there FS2020 Detected and FSUIPC in Green ?

If not please check if you have by fault OFFLINE MODE Enabled ( A yellow lamp next to the Offline Mode Indicator also in lower line)
If Yes it can not work.... MF only talk to the Sim in Online Mode.

Another factor is the used Aircraft..... E.g. for a Addon like PMDG or FlyByWire Airbus the standard FSUIPC Events not work.

Solution:
At first check the upper points.
Also maybe think about to use our own WASM Inputs. We no longer need FSUIPC. We can do nearly all things directly with our Interface!
Good Luck !

Yes all are green. That’s what has me baffled. Do I use event ID as the input? I have tried those and no luck.
Just using 172 that is included with the sim.
Is there anything special I have to do with the serial port or the IP address of my pc. Just wondering if it’s a communication error of some kind.

If Sim connection indicator is green this means there is a minimum of 1 connection.
Via Mouseover you can see ( in case of FS2020) if there is a WASM or a FSUIPC connection, or both,

EventID is also a "special" thing. Its part of FSUIPC and it is needed for some aircrafts. Others work different.

In the past it was more easy.... E.g. in FSX we could say.... Nearly all In and Outputs o Stock aircrafts was possible with FSUIPC Standard Offsets and Events.
In FS2020 its confusing reversed.....
It look like AddOns use mostly available Lvars, while stock aircrafts use special stuff we not can controll easy.

I still recommend.... Test our WASM.
Then you not longer need to think about if your Event/Offset is wrong or if there is a problem in FSUIPC connection.

Please try out some things. Change aircraft. .... Use something basic like read COM1 Frequency.

If you really not be able to solve this... Contact me on Discord !
Good Luck !

I’ll give it a try and I really appreciate up your help. BTW my family came over from Germany in the 1850s. They were Dantzlers.
