I'm following this guys tutorial

But I do not have the option for Path to Arduino IDE

As stated there, this field is no longer part of the GUI as it isn't needed any longer.

Also visible in the old video is the old MF-version 7.1, today we are at 9.3

Honestly, i don't know.

But when you have a running Arduino which will be recognized by the Arduino IDE then you took the first step.

Then there could be some more hurdles to take:
- USB-Port on the Computer?
- USB-Cable
- Windows Driver
....
ah, and not to forget: if you have a 3D-Printer connected over USB, uplug it!!!

It took me some tries as well until i found the correct combination.

The whole USB-stuff under Windows is sometimes a miracle, believe me.

Normally the actual MF-Gui should recognize the Arduino at once.

Hi

Mostly the reason of those problems is the CH340. Lots of Arduinos Clones use this CH340 instead of the original Chip
This need a own Driver.

Check if you got a CH340 and if yes download drivers!
