I have started with building part of the cockpit of the Cessna 172S and started with the lightpanel in lower left corner.
All works fine using four potentiometers to regulate the dimming of lights.

Although SW/CB and the Avionics regulation does not update the graphics in the simulator, the dimming works though.
Code: @ 17 - 10.05 / 0 max 100 min d (>L:LIGHTING_POTENTIOMETER_3_SET) 3 (>K:2:LIGHT_POTENTIOMETER_SET)

Will you say the virtual lights are dimmed correctly.... But just the animation of the virtual Dim Encoder/Poti is not change ?
OR
Will you say there is fully no function and also the bright of virtual Lights remains ?
Good Luck !

Functionallity is fine, i.e. it dims the lights but the graphics in the gui does not turn accordingly so the graphics of the knobbs is wrong.

This is a basic problem in case lots of Aircrafts ( Stock and also AddOns) have TWO different Variables/Events for every single switch.
One Variable e.g. controll the "function"..... so in your case the variable correctly dimm the virtual Backlight of the Panels.
And "another" Variable controll the virtual Animation of the encoder/poti/switch where you would controll the Brightness in the Sim with the mouse.

Its important to understand this are two individual Things !

Ask yourself.... Do you really care about the virtual switch/encoder ???
Your button handle the dimm as expected. Why do you care about the current optic/showed position of the virtula switch?
You like a real input to change brightness.... It workes as you say ? so no longer think or look to the virtual switch anymore !

If you like to solve this completly i would say you need to find out if there is a second event ( for the animation) or a other event that controll function and animation same time.
Feel free to explore this..... Or accept this missbehavior and be happy system do what you need.

I know this awnser is a little dissapointed .... But if you have a full cockpit... You will no longer see the virtual knob and not care about if it is worling correctly or not in its animation !
Good Luck !
