Good night!
I'm new here in the group.
Would it be possible to increase the memory of the arduino pro micro/uno using the EEPROM I2C module AT24C256?
If so, could we run a greater number of registered devices? (I believe this is possible through a small adjustment in the MF program for Uno and Micro boards)
This would increase the Arduino's capacity and reduce the number of boards used.
Thank you for your attention

Simple solution. Get mega 2560 Pro from Amazon for $10. Even smaller footprint than full sized mega 2560.

Hi
You can ask for this on our DISCORD under Development ! Or you make a Request in our GitHub Page....

https://github.com/MobiFlight

Basically i think NO We wont this !

Why buy a additional part, handle new code and make the system more deep and difficult, if you STILL have the same Result already ?

As thatchi say.... Use a MEGA (4kb EEPROM instead of 1kb) (256kb Mem instead of 32kb ) (68 Pins instead of less then 20)
If you really need smaller Boards use the MegaMini Pro ..... Else use the common Mega.

I say this multiple times.... Its NOT the concern of Mobiflight to reduce number of Boards or to increase number of possible Pins devices on one Controller.
If you need more Devices, use additional Controllers!
MF can handle ~~ 100 Arduionos ..... Via NEtwork we can controll in theory 1600 Arduinos and up to 70.000 Buttons/LED´s
Good Luck !

If in your project it is necessary to ensure the loading of audio, video, graphics, and recording of any data, the question of external memory arises. In most microcontrollers, the built-in memory is very limited. But through simple manipulations, it can be increased. I do not recommend doing this yourself if you do not understand the technical intricacies of a laptop or PC device. But you should contact specialists like flash drive recovery service who will help you solve this issue in a couple of minutes.

Its a point.... For Self created Sketches e.g.
But Mf will not handle Audio, vidfeo or Graphics on the Arduino.
So this no factor for use.

MF Firmware and logics "at the moment" are working on Mega,Uno and Micro.
The Uno and Micro with its lower Mem ( 1kb instead of 4kb EEP and 32kb vs 256kb MEM) is on the upper end of the Limits.
Some users work hard for weeks to optimize our Firmwarecode to fit it into these smaller mem/EEP size.

For the Mega we are way more comfortable.... As explaned obove.... HEre we have 4time more EEP and 8 Time more Static Mem. So there will be no problem:
But for the UNO and Micro already the next bigger new feature maybe struggle the system again.

As i know these users also plan for a custom Firmaware creator where we can define what typ of In/Outs we not need..... So we reduce Size of Firmware by remove e.g. the whole LCD Display Code and Librarys if we not plan to build a LCD on that board.

BUT Overall my same statement as in the past..... You guys have a perfect Board with lots of Pins and 4 time more Mem as we need.
Simply choose for MEGA Only..... Then you never get in trouble or need to think about alternative ways!
Good Luck !
