I was reading through the FSUIPC Event ID list 2016, but can't find an Event ID for VLAN

Hi Johan,

I never heard about VLAN. For what is this abbreviation for and what should it do in the simulator?

The only expression for VLAN that I know is for Virtual Local Area Network...

Or to become philosophical:

Who am I?
And if Yes?
How many?

Offsets and Events are working on a total different way.

Offsets are "variables" in the memory during runtime you can read out or write to or sometimes even both, you can imagine Events as kinda messages, being fired when the dedicated event happens.

But you can fire the same "message" (= Event) as well with the needed parameter and set it in MF.

You just have to find out what the parameter should be.

Unfortunately i only have the list of the events, but not with the according parameters.

And the debug information from FSUIPC (with sending to console window) can show you some events, values etc.

Important is also the fact, that the Offsets and Events vary depending on the Simulator and the (AddOn-) Plane.

LED's as I understand is an Output and Outputs are only using FSUIPC Offsets no Event ID option.

I can't find an Output offset for VNAV.

I am using FSX default B737.

As said before, switch on the FSUIPC debugging with the Console Window, then do whatever is needed on the virtual cockpit on the screen and when the LED comes up you should see the needed information in the console window.

I presume the FSUIPC debugging is within MF

Hi Johan,

no, for the logging of FSUIPC you need the registered Version of FSUIPC

By the way.... How should he see a Output Offset change in FSUIPC (without know the offset before )?
Logging shows INPUTS! Not Outputs !
So it will show simply the EventID of the VNAV Button.... Not the VNAV LED Status.

About Question....

Please correct me.... The Stock B737 in FSX have no VNAV in case it also have no FMC System.
If i remember right the Button is not useable in the Virtual Cockpit !

So its not possible to READ a function that not exist !
Good Luck !
