Hi together, I'm new here, from Lucerne in Switzerland and building my minimal Home Cockpit using SkyElite on 2 Ipads and Mobiflight Connector to (harware-) control key buttons and switches.
Everything works fine (e.g Nav and COM frequencies etc) except the "Range Rotary Encoder" on the Map screen. While turning the Rotary Encoder left or right impacts the "range" of the MAP in the FS2020 Garmin screen, but there is no impact on the SkyElite MAP on my Ipad.

I assume SkyElite map is not linked at all to the MS2020 map. Is that correct ? Is there any way to control RANGE and PAN of the SkyElite MAP on my Ipad by hardware ?
As the plane position and other info are transferred, there might be a possibility to impact range as well.

Thank you for any assistance

Peter

PS: I asked the same question on the SkyElite forum, but probably here is the better place as there are many cockpit builders here.

I think 100% inverted.... The SkyElite Forum is the better way pretty sure.

Mobiflight basically never talk to a "external" System..... We Talk to the Sim!
So Your Button in Mobiflight do what it should do.... It change the Virtual Display of the Sim.... As expected!

We not know how your external Map receive Data from the Sim.... or how the "range" on that map work in relation to the sim.

So, for sure there can be a situation , that Mobioflight technical chage the Sim Display "different" as a Mouseclick will do.... So Your Software can detect the Mouse action, but not the Mobiflight action.... But i will say.... thats not our "problem"..... MF is build to controll the Sim Stuff.... Not to controll a 3rd Party Software.

Please report your experience and the awnser of "SkyElite" here.... Maybe we can then offert a solution, that MF can controll "both" in the future !
Good Luck !

Thank you for your reply, and yes you were right, the SkyElite guys found the solution:

1. For the "range" SkyElite uses F17 and F18 as inputs
2. To enter F17 and F18 as key strokes in Mobiflight, I had to enter F1/F2 first in the Mobiflight screen, then mannualy modify to F17/F18 in the XML file
3. Mobiflight needs to run in ADMIN mode th assure "key strokes" are sent not only to the "active window" but also to SkyElite.

By the way, I find the combination of Mobiflight and SkyElite a nice and simple solution for home cockpit building.
