Hello Captain,

First of all, thank you very much for amazing software. I'm not the programmer and don't have base knowledge of writing program but just want to try to build 737NGX MCP myself.

I'm trying to make the altitude on the MCP to show on 7 segments LED display by using IC Max7219 as recommended in the tutorial. I almost achieve it. The number of altitude is shown correctly from 0 to 23700 ft. But after I increased to 23800, the LED showed -3273 and those numbers will increase by 10 for every 100 ft increment. For example

MCP set to 23700, LED show 23700
MCP set to 23800, LED show -3273
MCP set to 23900, LED Show -3263
MCP set to 24000, LED Show -3253
and so on

The FSUIPC offset that I use is "652E", size 2 and data type is WORD. In MF Config Wizard, I choose the Value Type as Int and 2 bytes and leave the Mask Value and Multiply be assigned by the program itself.

If anyone knows how to fix this, please advise.

Thank you very much.

Hi captain,

Thank you very much for advise. Now, it works perfect. It will be much appreciate if you can explain more how to get the number 65536 to add in the condition tab.

I hope that I can understand your explaination with my less knowledge. : )

Thank you very much.

Hi,

I tried the same but i am getting a value of 0 only.

I have MF 7.3.2 and there is no multiplier button on that , is the transform button the same? When i put 1 in the transform button, it gives me the output as 1 only. so its either 0 or 1 for any combination of type, size for the pmdg 737.

for the default 737 , all the offsets work as expected and display the correct outputs. Really getting frustrated with the PMDG and its delaying my MCP project.

Hey guys

The Multiply Button is a relict from a older version..... Please check the Topic you reply is 9 Months old !

Interesting for you is NOT the first link ( Transform field is not needed here.... Simply let the $ in this field ond not make a input there)
You must look the SECOND link to copy the Compare Field..... ( Make the same Compare in youre config)

About the Technic....

the Problem here is that PMDG and Mobiflight use different Data Formats ( Signed and unsigned)
So the value is limmited and get negative after this border....

With the Compare IF Value is less then Zero <0 then Add 65536 +65536 you simply get the Value positiv all time.

Keep Cool.... PMDG is all over much easyer and better then default B737.... Yes there are some problems like this... But you get in 99% of situations much better offsets like in Stock B737.... More Logical Values and no math calculation is need instead of the default B737.
Good Luck !

Hi,

I am trying to setup my MCP with the Aurduino Mega 2560 and Mobiflight.
What do I need to do so my display will indicate the altitude that is present on the Altitude display in the flight deck?
My display only says 00000 all the time whatever I do.

You talk about "The FSUIPC offset that I use is "652E", size 2 and data type is WORD"
what is this meaning?
Where do I set this?
Not in the FSUIPC it is not possible to set anything like that.
What am I doing wrong?

Problem solved.
Was missing the communication output in PMDG Option file. Now everything works fine!
