Hello.

I'm building a custom panel for MSFS2020. I am using arduino mega 2560 & breadboard with 2xMAX7219 to control 2x 5-digits 7-segments display in daisy chain.

I've tested the configuration with a custom arduino sketch and it works correctly, so wiring, voltages and currents are correct.

But I have done a configuration with Mobiflight and the second module is not showing anything. All segments off. I created a device as LED- Segment with number of modules = 2. Then I configure COM active & Standby for each of them, but nothing.

Any idea of what I can check to put it to work? Could it be something related to the CLK?

Thank you

Why testing with a Sim realted Config ?
You not know if your Config is the problem or the Display itself....

Create a New MCC File for testing....
Create a new Output Config Line.
Not choose for a Variable.... Just go to the DISPLAY Tab, and choose for your Max Device.
Enable all 8 checkmarks.... And choose for the first test Display Nr 1.
Press TEST ( oin the Display Tab.... NOT the TEST in Connector Main window)

If all is fine the first Display will show 12345678..... Or if you just use 5 Digs it show e..g 12345 or 45678 .... Whatever Diggits you wired.

Then stop the testing and change setting to Display nr 2
Test again.
Now the second should show the numbers !

***********
If Yes.... then simply your configs are wrong.... If No you have a electrical Problem.
Try a Restart.... Specially if MAX are not solder and just set by jumper wires the system can get instable.
Good Luck !

I had similar problems with my Max ("The Bitch") on a breadboard, even during tests with a native Arduino script.
It counted up from 0 to..... and as soon as the fifth digit came up (10000 and more) the whole system became instable.

Solution - as stated several times - even, or especially on a breadboard: do not forget the two capacitors!
After that all my probs were gone (at least when talking about the Max :| )

Mach dir keine Sorgen......

Good Luck !
