Hi,

I've just joined the Mobiflight world - Hello all.

I've setup my x4 2"gauges (VAC, EGT, Fuel etc.) into the mobiflight via a Arduino Mega. I was hoping I can simplify by using a PCA9685.

So, my short question is - Can I use a PCA9685 with Mobiflight?

Thanks,
Rob

Hi Rob,

welcome to MobiFlight.

A short answer to your short question: No

This breakout borad runs with I2C interface and with I2C you can only drive LCDs with MobiFlight.

If your aim is to simplify wiring, you can use a LED SPI driver (= output shift register) like the DM13A or its many compatibles; you can also apply a PWM output to it for (global) dimming.
Otherwise, if you're interested in dimming the individual LEDs, I'm afraid you're out of luck.
