My goal is to manipulate a digital potentiometer, which is controlled by an Arduino Nano. The Arduino Nano excepts inputs via its serial monitor (tested and working).
Is it possible to send such data via MobiFlight?

The overall goal is to manipulate a Flaps Position Indicator, that is working by manipulating a potentiometer (tested and working).
Doing the same via a "standard" potentiometer which is manipulated by a servo would be possible as well, however I'd like to circum-naviagate moving parts.

Hi

MF not support "Output via Serial" and this is also not planed as i know!

But may you can use a tricky solution......

MF allow PWM Outputs and have the Servo Output.
The Servo i not know how it workes...... Here Sebastian need to explane it.
But the PWM is easy..... Some Pins allow a PWM Output Signal ( Can be aneabled in MF)
the a Number ( Value in Sim) can be 0-255 ..... And this result in a PWM Signal on that Output Pin from 0-100% .
Normaly we use this for LED dimming..... But maybe you can define a Input Pin on your Nano with THAT wire and you can use this PWM Signal as indication in your sketch.

Please join Discord and talk to "Jaime Leon" or "Tuomas" .... These guys got most experience with PWM usage !
Good Luck !

Dicord was a good hint. Got my (negative) answer from "Jaime Leon". Sending data directly from a MF-board to another board is not possible.
Edit:
After some more discussion I have a look into the MF code. Maybe the SPI library could be utilized by MF.

Did you have any luck with the SPI library? I'm not sure when the SDI/SPI capabilities for devices was added - how has your experience with this been?

Sorry for the late answer.

Using the SPI Lib was easy!

I created a "SPIOutput" (copy from ServoMotor) both for the Arduino firmware and Mobiflight and this custom version is running good. ( https://github.com/JueBag/MobiFlight-Connector)
My next step is controlling a "moving cool indicator" ( Needle and Ball Indicator) using PWM and a H-Bridge, presently thinking on howto do that in Mobiflight.
