Hello, I tried to find this topic on the forum, but did not. so my question / remark: I need to download/install MF 9 all the time as new. It does not stay on my computer. The strange thing is that after executing the download i get directly into the main screen (no installation screens). It runs my last MMC and it works fine. When closing, everyting of MF is gone. ??? any idea ??

this sounds really weird and i can't imagine how this really would happen.

Whats your equipement? PC specs, Windows Version, etc.....

And please describe how exactly you're proceding beginning from the download.

it may also be interesting on which device (C:\, D.\) and in which subfolders MF should be installed.
Please avoid the installation on C:\. Setup your browser so that the downloads were not save in the C.\-folders.
If you only have a drive C:\ create an own folder for MF in the root-folder like c:\MobiFlight.
Copy your downloaded file in this folder and run it. If that won't work, run the file as Administrator.

Maybe it helps....

Here is what i did:

- Downloaded to c:\temp\MF
- Started installation
- After finished i moved the whole directory to ...\microsoft games\flight simulator\modules
- thats it

Hi Kai,

so far so good. But you copied the folder into a windows secured folder. That may occure problems in some cases. Therefore I recommend an independend folder like C:\MobiFlight or something like C:\Flightsim\MobiFlight.
C:\program files and all the other from windows installed folders on C:\ are controlled by windows monitored access.

Sorry Stephan, you are absolutely right.

But as i'm an admin on my machine (and due to my professional education i know what i'm doing) it is ok for me.

For an user not being an expert on Win-X i also would recommend your advice.

Basically this should work to "move" the folder on a later moment..... But i think its recommend to go the "direct way".

MF will create a little Log File ( To store informations for a future installation like last mcc file or Settings )
This is in the "local/Roaming" section of the c:/user/documents folder.
If you "install" MF and move the folder on a later moment then "maybe" this information get corrupted.


Basic Wokflow.....

1. Download the "installer" from our Homepage.
2. MOVE this installer file to the folder you like finally install mobiflight ( create a folder and copy paste the installer file in THIS meanwhile empty folder!! )
3. Click on the installer...... This will unpack the whole MF System exactly in THAT FOLDER where the installer File was located while/before running it.

I now downloaded MF from GITHUB as a zipfile and unzipped in a specific folder. From this folder i made a copy of the Connector to the desktop. That works fine.

New problem: --sorry - when i make a new item on de Mobiflight/Arduino ( say like a button) i save/flash and when i push OK , MF completely dissapears to the Taskbar and because i run 5 screens with the same computer its some hassle to get it back. When i push cancel it does not dissapear.
