I have a 737 FMC made by me, and I'm using a arduino Mega with a "Keypad" library, and so I can use a single arduino for all contacts
Keypad is a library for using matrix style keyboards with Arduino.

With Mobiflight I have to use a contact for each button, and that forces me to have 2 MEGA arduinos in series, otherwise I don't have enough contacts.
I would like to know if there is a way to use Mobiflight with a keyboard matrix, or if Mobiflight think to implement this.

About Dual Encoders.
YES this work..... In Case a Dual Encoder is technical nothing else like 2 single encoders.
MF not care about if you build a Panel with two real single encoders OR with a dual encoder that have the same number of Pins like the two singles..... Electrical identical !

About Matrix.
NO
Not planed for now and not in the near future. Maybe in some years but not verry propably.

Your shematic not include Diodes. So there would be a GhostKey problem. Finally build a Matrix ( electrical) that is working same way like a MEGA costs you also Money and a lot of work. The final Usage is the same. So no Benefits expect save some Dollars.


I know FMC is a bad Point in case the limitation is just a little below and the second board is need for just a couple of Pins.....
BUT.... A User who just build a FMC should not care about if he use 1 or 2 Megas (MF also work with 50+ Megas parallel )
On the other side a User who build more Panels or a Full Cockpit also not care about cause he will simply share the Megas. So he build e.g. a 10 line Flat wire from the FMC with the "missing devices" that have no more pins on the Main MEGA in the FMC and put this wire to a other spot ( e.g. the Pedestal Radios) and set it there.
( Or they work tidy also, and simply use 10-20 Megas more as needed..... Just to have a clear logic and no crosswire work. )
