First of all thank you very much for your great piece of software.

With the new version 9 I saw that it is possible to use shift registers but limited to ICs supporting SDI/SPI protocoll. I have here finished PCB Boards equipped with IC's MCP23017 driven by I²C protocoll. So is it planned to also support that type of registers later on?

Thanks in advance.

Yes, this could happen. There is a fork https://github.com/elral/MobiFlight-Firmware which already has some support. Maybe we can merge it back into the main branch.
Have a great day!

If I can support, I will do so. But mainly on the firmware side.
I guess there are much better changes in the Connector required than I did ;)
My knowledge to change the connector is not the best...
