I know this has been asked a few times before, but just to be sure that I have the latest info:

The usable pins are
Digital: D2-D53 and
Analoge: A0-A14 (maybe A15 as well, I have read something about possible problems with A15)

The maximum number of outputs (LEDs) is 40.
Is there a maximum number of inputs (buttons/switches)?

What about using a combination of inputs and outputs on one card?
Is there a maximum combination?
Is there a preference to connect LEDs to digital pins?

Are potentiometers (in Beta) only to be connected to the Analog pins? So maximum 15 (or 16) potmeters?

Using only buttons and LEDs...would it be necessary to use a power supply for the Mega, or is that only necessary when using stepper motors etc?
