Hi Mobiflight,
As many flight sim cockpit builders, I find a need for more buttons, switches and analogs. I started building cockpits with the EPIC system in the 1980s and now have 2 Bodner systems working through FSUIPC and Mobiflight events. All good.
2 years ago I tried using an Arduino as an HID, can’t remember which software package I used, but could only use 1 Arduino so I went with a Bodner system.
It looks like Mobiflight overcomes the 1 Arduino per system problem.
My question is the AdaFruit Trellis system compatible with Mobiflight?
Thanks in advance.

Currenty we not plan for this.....
We will support a Multiplexer in the future to allow "SimVim" Users to easy convert into Mobiflight.... But this is just theroy for now.

Basically i not understand that comment.....

What do you mean ??

With Mobiflight you can in theory use more then 100 Arduinos on the same Computer.
Thats why we basically not want to use much multiplexers..... If you need 200 Switches.... Use 4 Arduinos and be happy !
Good Luck !

Thank you for the quick reply.:)

"It looks like Mobiflight overcomes the 1 Arduino per system problem."

The software I was using 2 years ago allowed 1 Uno to show in Windows as a HID gaming device but would not allow more than one Arduino Uno on the system.
No 200 switches.
That's why I went with Leo Bodner.

Thanks Again

MF not use HID Devices..... Our Megas are "Com Ports" . And those ( as i know) are limmited like USB Devices to 128 per Computer.

Also for "Self Build Joystick Controllers" based on Arduinos i think your reported Limit was a "bad function" ot the used code.
In the web i see systems who use a lot of Arduinos converted to HID Devices.... So it should be also possible to use e.g. 10 Arduinos on ONE System that emulate 10 Jpoysticks with overall 10*32= 320 Buttons.

Summary: MF not work with HID Devices.... So no limitation here. And finally check for other Software to make your Arduino Joystick.... There should be working more then one also.
Good Luck !

I think my next step is to mock up a button box and see what I can do with MF. Should be interesting.
Best
