Hi all,
I have been away from flight simming for a little while. I used to use Arduino with Link2fs which I had working pretty well. One thing that I liked about Link2fs was flexibility. Things have moved on a bit since then and I am interested in giving Mobiflight a go. How flexible is mobiflight? For example with Link2fs I set up an annunciation panel so if something with the aircraft went wrong then that led would light up. Here is a video if it working https://youtu.be/1P-q33TH2gI
Will I be able to do this with Mobiflight?
Thanks in advance
Marc

For Sure !

MF work with different devices.... Buttons/Switches, Encoders as Inputs, and LED, Servo,Stepper, 7Seg and LCD as Output .... LED also via PWM on some Pins.
All Devices can be "mixed" on a Arduino ( Within the limitations from MF).

So if you like to show something with a LED all you need is the "raw" data from the sim that indicate that situation.
In FSX its done by FSUIPC Offsets .
May a Offset still exisit that is "1" if your LED is ON and "0" if your LED should be OFF ( For example the AP Master Status ) then you can directly use it.

But for sure you can also build those Outputs yourself by using one or more indications.
For example you read the "Altitude" of your Aircraft..... And you say : LED should only light if Altitude is higher then 5000ft.
Also Combinations are possible.... Like you read additional the Flaps Status..... And you say : Led should only light if ALT is greater 5000ft AND Flaps are UP at tzhe same moment.

This technique finally is used if we had no real indication from the sim but we have other raw data to define a situation ourself that indicate what the LED should do!

**********

In easy words.... Mobiflight can show everything to your Outputs aslong the Data is available in the Sim or can be calculated via availiable raw data !
Good Luck !
