Hi all,

I'm trying to install MobiFlight for the first time on my Windows 7 laptop which has FSX installed. I'm getting an error message "Download failed, installation aborted! Please run installer again or unzip manually".

This is what the install.log says:

7/2/2021 3:33:39 PM(815): CheckIfFileIsHere : C:\Users\user\Downloads\MobiFlightConnector-8.2.0.zip -> Does not exist

Hi

Maybe a real Problem.... Maybe a issue by yourself.

Please confirm you do the follow.....

1. Download the "Mobiflight Installer" from our official Download Link on the Homepage

2. Move the EXE File into a Folder you like to extract/install MF.
INPOTANT: Use a "free" Fodler that is not protected by Windows . Best way is a own Partition/SSD like D:/ , E:/ or so..... If on C: then use a subfolder like "C:/MOBI"
Avoid using folders like "C:/Programmfiles" that er within the Windows Protecting system.

3. Run the Installer.exe ( and also later after install the MobiflightConnector.exe) with ADMIN Mode ! In case of System settings some people get in trouble if the work in NonAdmin Mode! ..... I personally recommend to use AdminMode ALWAYS for every single Programm!

If this solve the Problem we are fine.... If NOT then we must check for a Issue!

Maybe MF looks for 8.2.0.0 but only find 8.2.0 . This sounds confusing.... ins´t it ??

Please try to download the file directly to test if the download work --> https://bitbucket.org/mobiflight/mobiflightfc/downloads/MobiFlightConnector-8.2.0.zip
if not is a problem on your side.
