HI guys,
I can't find the CDI button in MF.
Also, I would like to use generic Event ID's for the buttons so I can use them with aircraft with GPS but not the 530. That is not working though. is it not possible? Do I have to make different MF profiles for each aircraft?
One more thing. I can't get the CLR button to work. Neither short or long press.
Oops, one more. I can't find the push button (C/V) for either of the radios.
Thanks,
John

Hi John

Like we say in lots of other topics.... Most of the "new" things in FS2020 are not included in FSUIPC Standard Offsets/Events.
You need to use the SIMCONNECT Events and the new "FS2020 Outputs" to handle them.

If a Element is miss there you need to figure out yourself.... OR you wait until a other user do this.... OR you request to a advanced user if he can figure out for you.

And to awnser your second question..... If a Button is used same way in multiple Aircrafts your lucky
E.g.
The COM1 is pretty sure used same way..... Whatever it is a Button on the G1000 or a Encoder in a analog Cessna Model..... Cause its the same basic System
Otherwise e.g. the AP Altitude maybe use 2 different systems in a Cessna or in a B787.

So your right.... The main idea of Mobiflight is to use a single file (*.mcc) for each aircraft you like to use. (Cause 90% of MF users only fly with one single aircraft and not switch)
If 2 or more aircrafts use simmular elements for your panel you can controll all with same file..... If not you build simply multiple files that include the same Logic.... But use for some elements different Events and Variables.

Basically no problem..... the Loading of a aircraft takes 20+ seconds also on the fastest Computers of the world..... No big deal to click on FILE-LOAD and select the specific file in MF while this loading screen.
Good Luck !

John,

I was having the same issue and I found it... it's a bit buried, but with some digging I was able to get it working.

For the CDI Button:
The action you want to connect to is in "MSFS2020 - Events" under the Action Type drop down
In Group, find "Microsoft/Generic/Unsorted"
Select "TOGGLE_GPS_DRIVES_NAV1"

For the C/V Button:
Group: "Microsoft/Generic/Avionics"
Event: "AS530_LeftSmallKnob_Push"

I'm still working on the CLR button, but if I figure it out, I'll post it here

This should work for all the generic GNS530 across all the planes, but I'm specifically using it in the Aerosoft Twin Otter, and I just confirmed it works. I hope this helps you out too!

Is TOGGLE_GPS_DRIVES_NAV1 still supposed to work for CDI in the GNS430/530? I'm using MobiFlight through FSUIPC, where all MobiFlight buttons work, but there's no CDI and using TOGGLE_GPS_DRIVES_NAV1 doesn't seem to have any affect on the 530.
