HELLO,
I HAVE TO USE A MEGA 2560 FOR 40,50 OVERHEAD 737ANNUNCIATORS.
I HAVE A POWER SUPPLY INPUT 100 - 240V 50 / 60MHZ AND OUTPUT 12V, 1A. IS IT OK FOR MEGA OR SHOULD I USE ANOTHER ?

We personaly not recommend External Power to Mega.... We normaly work with USB Power ( and powerd Hubs) So we talk about 500mA Max per Mega.

Basic Question is.... How many current is used by the LED ?
MF itself have a limitation for 40 LED ( as i know, if it not changed in the past) . So "50" will not be possible at all.

Most easy way.... Check Power of LED..... And check logical usage of Pins.
If you also use switches/Butons with MF it make no sense to use all Outputs (LED) on one Mega.

Lets say you need 50 LED and 50 Swtiches..... then use 25 In and Outputs each on 2 Megas.
25 LED with lets say 15mA each are 375mA..... So USB Power is fine and you not need to think about external power!

If you like to build your idea.... NOTE: Whatever you use a External Power ... MAX Power Limit for all Outputs together is 800mA !!
