Hi,
I created an input overhead of the 737 800 with two mega arduinos.
They are connected to a USB hub to which a LED strip for the backlight is connected.
I have used 56 pins on the first and 52 on the second board so far.
I still have several analog pins available, but I can't add them because it doesn't store them.
Do you think it's a power problem?
Thank you
Greetings

Hi

In case i not know the setup..... E.g. if motors are used (need many power) or what specifications the LED Stripe got i can not tell you if you got a power problem.
Simple rule.... Count the Power using devices and sum the values.... Each Mega should not overdrive 500mA !

Whatever.... The Problem not sounds like a Power issue.
Power problems occure in crashes of the Arduino.... In non working elements like switches who not act or LED who not light.
But creating devices is a fully Software part action.... So except if the board is still crashed at that moment the upload should work normaly.

Please tell us.... WHAT is going wrong ?
- Is there a issue warning, Error Popup or so. Try to enable the LOGGING Mode and check if there is written something strange.
- Do you reach a Limit ? For example only 40 LED per Mega are allowed. So you can not create a 41st LED for example. ( Each device typ got a own limit )

IDEA :
Do you use extrem Long device Names ?
Here for testing.... If you use long names simply RENAME for testing 10 Devices verry short like A1, A2, A3 or so..... Then after a Upload try to create a new Device like before ( Also short name) ..... Does it work now ?

This is a issue in case the Mega Storrage not can save a high number of Devices with each a verry long name.
For example if you use 4 Displays and 1 Stepper then 16 Pins are used for 5 Devices.... If you use Buttons instead you would use 16 Devices.... So Many more longer names.... That can finaly override the mem.
So a mixed system with short words and longs... with 1 Pin and multi Pin elements not reach the critical point.... But as explaned some special projects "can" do it.
So we decide to not make a harder limit.... Cause a user who use also short names in the system should not be blocked to use some longer if he need it.
Disadvantage.... A User who use the max lengts all the time can get in trouble.
Good Luck !
