I would like to connect multiple OLED-displays (using a I2C Multiplexer) to the MobiFlight device.
This would expand the application range of MobiFlight enormously. And MobiFlight already supports I2C - so the extension should be limited.

And how do you like to controll the OLED Displays and the Data on it ?

Mobiflight is just based to handle 1-4 Lines of Text with a length of 24 Characters ( or maybe 40 Characters) .
There is no way to build/handle a complex grafic with multiple Fonts, Backpicture or animated elements.

About the multiple IC2..... Thats in theory possbile. MF already handle 2 LCD Displays on same IC2 Port ( By use 2 different IC2 Adresses) . In theory we could increase this. But for our opinion that was not needed till now.
Good Luck !

My suggestion: keep it simple. 128x64 OLED displays are very cheap and they look great.

Offer two templates, e.g. with frame and without frame.

Otherwise, choose a similar setup to the LCD displays: free text and placeholders for variables. A single font size and font.

1 - 4 lines of text with a length of 10 Characters are enough. The idea is to have multiple OLED-displays for multiple functions.

You can Request for this to Sebastian Himself.... Maybe on Discord.

For me this is a strange thematic.

If your Happy with 4 Lines of Text and 10 Chars ..... then the LCD Displays are still enough.
With only 2 preset Optics and also a Single Font/Size there is no real difference to a LCD.... So there is no "Custom Option"

I would also think those Displays are cool.... But i would expect a much more deeper System. For example in a B777 MCP it would be cool to design small Displays for the VS, SPD, HDG and so on..... So the "Mode Flag" like "IAS/MACH or HDG/TRK" can be shown realistic.

Like This:

But then.... Some users want Green Font Color.... Others want red. The Font for these flags in example need to be 50% smaller then the Numbers of the HDG and so on.

I personal think this system is "overload" for the Mobiflight GUI posibilitys.
Here we should think about a ownstanding Software for my point of view.#
Good Luck !
