Hi Community,

the whole world of MF, offsets and else is still pretty new to me. I'm slowly step by step gathering insight, infos & experience.
Through reading and also trial & error I managed to successfully connect & assign most of of my switches / buttons from the overhead lights section from my A320 project, interfacing Fs2020 and the FBW Mod A320.
Currently I'm struggling with the RW Turnoff lights. I'm using (legacy) event ID: 66240 Toggle_Taxi_Lights, parameter: 2. But this only switches on one of the Turnoff Lights. The other one would need parameter: 3. Since the A320 only has one switch for them on the overhead (latching), I'd need to combine both parameters somehow, so both of them are activated / deactivated via one switch. Maybe there's another way, which I just haven't discovered so far or a formula for an offset (I just suck with excel logics :| ) which would do the job?
I appreciate any help in advance! :)

If you need any other information from me, I'd be happy to provide them.

Thx & greetings from germany, Jakob

Hi

For the FS2020 Aircrafts lots of the "old" FSUIPC Events no longer work. Hopefully FSUIPC will provide this in the future.
Until then we use the new SimConnect Tool. ( Check our Videos on Youtube or Search Forum/Discord)
There you directly controll the new FS2020 Inputs ( Indipendet from FSUIPC and "Events" like in the past)

Your report sounds strange by the way....

66240 was a "toggle" Event in the past ( Not know the new FS2020 Logics but normaly this should be simmular )
Means .... its no matter if you use parameter 0,1,2, ore 999999 The Input do always the same.
In your case it Activate or Deactivete it OR it toggle between OFF- One side - Both - OFF . One Side - Both and so on.
If i´m right then the key is not the parameter.... the key is to use the switch 2 times. ( Whatever makes no sense)

I recommend..... Try the Simconnect Tool for now.
Good Luck !

Hi pizman,

thx for your reply. I'm already using the the simconnect tool for some of the inputs. But also in case of the A32x from the fbw team, the legacy events still work. I.e. if I use the MFS2020 event for the taxi lights from the tool, all of them are switched on/off at once (Taxi and both RW turnoff Lights. Which is unrealistic for the A320, since it has separate switches for the taxi light and the RW turnoff lights). If I use the legacy event, I can switch them one separately, using the parameters 2 and 3. So the parameter seems to mater, at least on my end.
Looking up the model behavior in the sim, when using the switch in the 3d cockpit, fbw is even using two separate states or vars (similar to the event) to switch both of them. But the logger shows it's done simultaneously.
I guess maybe there will be a solution once it's possible to use Lvars from fs2020...

In case of the runway turnoff lights according to the logger a k variable named TOGGLE_TAXI_LIGHTS seems to be triggered. Two states (2,3) at once.

Just to clearify.....

We talk about 3 Different Events now. And i not fully understand what you mean with "legacy Event" and "event for the taxi lights from the tool"

1. "old" Events based on FSUIPC ( i think you mean legacy here)

2. "new" Events via the Sim Connect Tool
2.a. Exisiting (known) Events that are still listed in Mobiflight ( Here i think you mean "Event from the tool")
2.b. Events in FS2020 that are NOT already in the List but possible,

I not work with that stuff in case i not have FS2020. But as i understand the "Presets" in Mobiflight are not Confirmed and complete. For the G1000 Sebastian build this himself for the own HC.... So these should be working. All the FBWMod Stuff is just Copy Paste from other USers cause he not fly Airbus Himself.
So maybe the supported Elements are simply wrong or the needed Switch is missing.
I recommend to use the System explaned in the Video Guide ! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PKBjEl9E5A4

Just a Idea... Maybe there exist a "better" Event for what you need. Then simply include it manualy.
Whatever sure... If also this system show you the "problematic" Thing then we must wait for better Support from MSFS2020 to get access to more variables in the future.
Good Luck !

sorry if I caused confusion :-/

by legacy event I'm referring to the classic event (Input config, action type "Event ID" list I can choose events from and also enter parameters).

By events from the tool I'm referring to the new fs2020 events working with the simconnect tool (input config, action type "MSFS2020 Events" where I can choose from various groups of events)

For getting the events connected to the different actions I follow the instructions from the Video Guide (use the model behavior console and the logger, just as explained in the video).
That way I tried to include the needed events, but without any luck so far. But like I said, I'm still really new to all those things.

Best regards :)
