Hello,
so i have developed an arduino-shield for the gauge-stepper motors x27/x40/x65.
You can drive up to 12 steppers including a sensor-signal for autozero. I have developed it so you can plug and play on the arduino mega 2560 and then set up the gauge-pcbs and connect via simple flatcable and 10pin connectors.

I modify the mobiflight firmware and software (GUI) so they run very speedy with about 1,5 second for one revolution.

If anybody will help to get the GUI running to config such stepper with Dir and Step Signal - are welcome!

I have build 60mm gauges pcb to use with one stepper or with two stepper like oil-pressure c172.
Also build 80mm gauge pcb to use with one stepper for rpm or a dualstepper for altimeter.
I will post videos and some information soon.

So here the video - 8 steppers control over modyfied arduino-firmware.

Have to hold my phone and control the mouse to mobiflight - test stepper... not to easy multitasking :w00t:

Hi
Nice Project !

Just a short question....

Your "rework" of the Firmware is pretty sure based on the newest Version 8.0. But what happen if Sebastian release a new Firmware official ?
Then this "new" firmware not include your Reworks. And a user who patch to next Version ( and also update his firmware) may get in trouble !
So let me ask.... How do you plan to support users who like to work with your board.... Do you plan to make your rework for every new Firmware release in the future ?
Good Luck !

@pizman,

good question - i hope we can implement it in mobiflight - i have contacted sebastian for this - but still is not ready yet.
Make some other modifications as well and then we can test it in large field.

NightEagle, this is a fantastic project. In fact, this is exactly what I had been looking for. Are you selling these boards somewhere, or publishing the board schematics?

Hello,
Yes i have less time in the moment, but it is still in development and working now very good. Have to rewrite the GUI for the Stepper and so it takes more time as exspected because of missing help.
