Hello,

I am a lucky Mobiflight user since years.

But, at the moment i am a bit confused.
I am using the new release 8.0. One of the main features should be the MSFS2020 working events.
Unfortunetly there are some things unclear:
For me the fs2020 events A32X from dropdown menu does not work. (LOC,APPR, etc). Why?
Then there should be a updated list of community events - where to find? Where to place?
What is or means WASM module?

Hope to get some light in the dark...

What is or means WASM module?

This is like you buy a DVD Player for your TV and then you ask me what these glittering round disk with the hole in the middle is used for


The New feature is build to directly controll things in FS2020 ( Without use the bypass of FSUIPC, cause in FSUIPC a lot of the new functions are still missing)
And to handle this comunication, there must be a "Interface PlugIn" installed inside the FS2020.... And thats the WASM Module !
So a Programm that open a "door" and handle the Data Transfer between the FS2020 and Mobiflight !

In case you not know what WASM is.... I think you have not istalled it. And thats the reason why it not work for you at the moment pretty sure.

And at last.... Not get scarred.
This tool is new and at the moment the users must figure out all the Events by hand. Here some skills in understanding Code is needed.
BUT. If a user find a new thing he will share it to Sebastian so he can include it like a simple Preset in the next version.
So hopefully the List get bigger and bigger and in some months there is no need to create things youreself. Then you have also the Preset like before.

For OUTPUT we still use FSUIPC. And if a new System ( Like your Managed Dot) is not already there it is not useable. BUT as the guy in the video say.... The community work hard to find new ways in this tool. Hopefully we can also "READ" Data in the future directly from SimConnect Variables.
Then FSUIPC is no longer needed and we are no longer limmited by FSUIPC features.
THEN we can do everything !

Regarding WASM Module I made this:

„There should now be a “MSFS2020-module” folder, open that folder.
Copy the “mobiflight-event-module” folder to your MSFS community folder.
Relaunch MSFS 2020„

Right?

And where is an updated Event List for WASM module?

There exist 2 Lists.... One is in the WASM Module ( That tell the Module what Functions should be included and readout from the Sim)
The other List is the Preset List of Mobiflight ( That tell Mobiflight to include the now available Functions from the WASM Module into the Mobiflight GUI in the DropDown menues)


The basic question, where the Module is located after download AND where you should copy /paste it is explaned in the First Video from Sebastian.
