Hello I really like MobiFlight great job on this platform.
I know you answered this question already. when I connect two boards what ever one shows up in Mapping section is the board the runs and not the other.
MobiFlight does recognize both boards and both have the firmware downloaded and I have no problem going into the Extras section and assigning assignments to each respected board. now there are to save buttons on in the Extra section and One in the Mapping section. I think this is where my problem is. the Mapping section when I do a save AS it safes all my mapping. in the extra section I assume I save the same respected file?
anyways if you or someone could help that would be great.

There exist THREE Save Options overall

1. SAVE in the Main Tool Line ( Connector Window) next to RUN STOP and so on.
THIS is a simple SAVE for the MCC File..... So your Config Lines get saved to the currently used MCC File !

2. SAVE in the "FILE" Tab of the Main Window
this is represent the SAVE AS ..... Means you can Save the current state of your Config File to a OTHER File ( new or existing) .
Usefull if you make a change for testing but not like to overwrite the "master file" itself..... So a simply SAVE AS

3. THE MFMC File Save in the Settings Tab ( On Device Settings next to the UPLOAD Button)
THIS is used to make a "Backup" of your Board settings !
So if you Create Devices like Buttons/LED, Motors or so on a MEGA.... And you UPLOAD it to the Board.... Here you can save these Device Settings to a Backup File.
This is called xxxxx.MFMC ( this is NOT a mcc file) .
Those Files are used to easy flash a new board with the old Devices you still create!
For eample if your Mega get Broke and you need a new one, or if you make a EEPROM Clear in case of a Error.

I'm a little confused on the "save" options. I have 4 boards at the moment and for sure that will increase as my build progresses. When I save in the Device Settings area should I be saving separate files for each board as I configure them? If I do not, how does the system know what to program a board with if I need to replace one board?

I never try out if it´s possible to save multiple boards in one file..... Same reason as you said.... It make no sense to me.

You can try if that is possible. I don´t think so. Normal procedure is to maka a MFMC File individual for each Board !

I still can't run multiple boards. I Understand how to save files, but still when I turn on mobiflight it runs the last profile.
maybe someone can show an image to do this.I have two boards both recognized by Mobiflight with my actions downloaded to them but still I can't run both.
I'm missing something.
Help me please LOL

Badly i can not understand you.

You say you "upload" deviced to both boards.... So both must be detected by Mobiflight.
What do you mean now if you say only one is detected ?

Do i understand right you upload the Devices not at same season ???
So you connect Board 1..... Upload Devices and all work fine.
Then you disconnect Board 1...... Connect Board 2 and upload devices there and all work fine again....
BUT if you connect BOTH same time only one is shown ??
