Hello,

I have 6 7 segment displays for showing the NAV2 Value.

Problem is, that one display is not working (e.g. 1x8.90 ).
The displays are working, when connecting to another socket, it is working.

when connecting the pin for this display with another one, it lights up and show the value masked in an 0 with highter intensity.
So I guess, it is simply not getting voltage.
Is there a way to provide voltage to this display, the segment block (6 x 7 segment display) can be pulled out.

Thanks

Hi !

The causes can be varied. First check the wiring to the module.
The MAX chip is very sensitive. Then check the soldering points on the boards that the MAX chip sits on. You should re-solder pale or cracked solder joints to make sure you re-solder all solder joints.

If you have connected the boards as a chain, make sure that all boards are connected directly to 5V, do not take the 5V connection out of the chain.
The display itself cannot be supplied with its own voltage source. The power is supplied via the MAX chip.
Please report whether that helped

Hello Stephan,

first of all, happy new Year to you !

Thanks for your mail.

Indeed, it was the soldering, I resoldered it and now it works.

Thanks for your help !
