Hi and I know this topic is a bit older or but I need to ask you guys in the round how you tackle the override?

This means:
I also did the managed/selected programming as Tim smith / pizman mentioned. Works fine

But when I do the takeoff (condition during takeoff is managed for SPD/HDG/ALT) and After a Short while I switch the Autopilot ON - the FCU within the Simulator changed into selected mode all 3 parameters (SPED/HDG/ALT). This also means my DIY FCU is not recognizing it because the selected mode will just be selected if I would pull the knob.

Is there any solution in place for that szenario - kind of override function.
Same for when I am in the managed mode and spill the Encoder that this will show me the value when using the encoder and if I am not pulling the knob to „selected“ that you will get the 3 (- - -) back.

Hope I could explained a bit what my actual blocker is

As i say in other posting.... I´m not a Airbus Guy. ( I hate this Aircrafts.... Boeing 737 Forever

)
So.... I not know the systems itself.... how they act.... So it´s difficult to think about a good solution if i not know what will happen and what should finaly happen.

If you like.... When i find time the next weeks to come more often Online. I see your from Germany.
Let Talks in DISCORD ( or via Telephone... But better is Discord in case of Shared Screen) .
Hopefully if you explane me detailed what should happen maybe i find a better idea how to build it.

Hey Pizman.
I am also a Boeing guy - definitely. I already had an almost complete cockpit but due to some space I decided to sell everything.
Now I am just doing a bit of Desktop flying with the new MSFS2020 and bought the new Thrustmaster Airbus Sidestick and Throttle to a bit of Cockpit feeling on my desk. But due to that I am addicted to build my
Own stuff and I built some nice rare parts for Boeing as well I started to build my own FCU and want to bring that as close as possible to OEM functionality.
That’s why I am asking about those scenarios.
