Hi all,

I have been trying to configure my audio panel for the last 12 hours with no luck!

I have read lots on here about offset 3122 and that is uses the "bits" rather than a simple 1 or 0.

For example, to turn NAV1 on/off - use 0x3122, 1 byte, mask bit 3 only, and set "if($=8,0,8)" or "if($1,0,1)" in both BCD and not BCD... nothing seems to work.

Has anybody completed this task and have a configuration to share?

Thanks, Neil.

3122 1 Radio audio switches. Read/write bit settings as follows:
2^7 COM1 transmit
2^6 COM2 transmit
2^5 COM receive both
2^4 NAV1 sound
2^3 NAV2 sound
2^2 Marker sound
2^1 DME sound
2^0 ADF1 sound

The NAV1 Sound is BIT 4 ( The 5th bit from right cause Bits start at Zero)
So the corespondending Value is 16 !
For a Toggle you would need if($=16,0,16)
Good Luck !

Thanks Pizman.

I have managed to make ADF, DME, NAV1 and NAV2 work perfectly in both XP11 and MS2020 - using the bit-mask technique. Perfect.

However, COM1/COM2 transmit don't appear to be working as you'd expect.

Using 2^7 for COM1 and 2^6 for COM2, every time I press any other button (ADF/DME/NAV1/NAV2) the COM1/COM2 toggle automatically by themselves!

Or, if I set the COM1 button to (a) change 2^7 bit to "on" and (b) change 2^6 bit to "off" - it will not do both. Unsure if this is Mobiflight or the logic with X/FSUIPC!

Nearly there!

TWO Posible issues.

1. I mada a Thinking Issue!

Basicly confirm you choose in the Input Configs EACH only one specific bit.... If you forget these and mark the whole Byte then sure.... If you send e.g. "8" for NAV2 ...And ypou adress this to the whole BYTE then it will send binary "0000 1000" .... So it activate Bit 3 BUT it disable same time all other Bits to Zero !
So... System work ONLY if you use a single Bit in the Inputs !

My Issue: The written value must be "1" instead of the 2^x Value.... So e.g. for NAV2 formula must be if($=16,0,1) ..... Mobiflight show Value as it would be a Byte (16) but we must WRTIE the Value as a Bit "1" .

2. Possible Issues in FSUIPC XPUIPC
I report a simmular Bug in FSUIPC4 for FSX to pete Dowson some years ago .... Then he fixed it.
Maybe in FS2020 this old code come alive again and the issue is still there.
Also for XPUIPC i´m not sure how they handle it. I remember about some Reports of Users who said this Offset is strange sometimes..... Specialy for COM1 and COM2

**************
Solution: Try Point 1 and rework the Inputs with the "1" .
Also CHECK how the virtual Panel work..... Can you realy DISABLE a COM in the Virtual Aircraft ? As i remember it is just posible to Disable COM1 by using COM2..... But you normaly can NOT Disable it by klick the active one.
Good Luck !
