Hi all,

I am familiar with creating a transponder with an encoder and button with pre-conditions to move the position from 1000, 100, 10, 1s - with an encoder this is simple.

However, I am wanting to build a XPDR where I have press button/numbers directly - like a BendixKing KT74 - however, I am stumped at how the logic/configuration would work with the pre-conditions as I need the number buttons to "SELECT NUMBER" but also "INCREMENT POSITION" by one.

Has anybody created a configuration that would make this work?

Thats Difficult with current Mobiflight Logic.

If your AddOn Aircraft also have this System and would give us simply "Events" or "Offsets" for the INPUT side ( So each 0-7 Button got a own System we can write) then the Input would work. Finaly we would need a Output Offset of the Virtual Display.... So we can Read the current showed Value ( while building the 4 Number XPDR Code) .

Without a posibility to read and write a virtual System here our options are difficult.

2 Problems:

1. Mobiflight currently not allow us "Placeholder" Usage in Input Configs.
So we only have "Precondition" .... That means we would need to create many many Configs for each Button.
For example the "1" Button need 4 Configs.... Cause it must change the 1,10,100,1000 Button Whatever point in sequence we use it.
In my Theory We would need also Duplicate That Buttons x2 cause we need to write a Custom System also for the Display while entering the numbers.
So on First View 8 Buttons * 8 Situations means 64 Input Configs only for the KeyPad.

2. Mobiflight not make Inputs in case of a defined Situation..... Only by a Keypress !
In my Theory i would write the XPDR Code to a Free Offset ( To Build it ) but i would need a automatic system in backround that say " If Value on that Offset is including 4 Numbers then WRITE This Number to the Sim XPDR and set it" .
Thats not possible..... Cause MF only write something if you press a Button.
And here Again Point 1 is the Problem. Without using of Placeholders in Inputs it is not possible to say "Write Value of ConfigA to Offset of Config B" .

BUT Good News.
I see Sebastian show in his last Potcast a engraved Panel for That XPDR. And Also myself i was looking forward to figure this out in the winter.
I hope we can support a solution next time. But my Project is located to end of January 2021 ! So not expect fast results !

I am (sort of) glad that I am confused to know if the logic is possible.

I will stick to the standard preconditions and use a rotary encoder with button to "shift" between 1000, 100, 10 and 1 - this is something I know I can do.
