i use fsx on windows 10 and fsx is installed on D disk in folder "fsx sim" that i created
when i run the installer from mobiflight i see that everything is extracted in my downloads folder??
Result: mobiflight works fine but the yellow icon simconnect stays yellow.
i think i need to install mobiflight in a specific folder under fsx but don't no where.

Hi Welcome !

MF installer ( the fie you download) is a self extracting EXE File.... Means it will be installed in the folder you run it.
In your case by a issue already in the Download folder.

If you like a clear instalation simply delete the current files and downoad it again..... then move the installer.exe into the SELF created folder of your choice.
For example d:/Mobiflight and run it.

NOTE:
The Yelow Warning of Sim Connection have no effect by the installation folder. If you have no connection then pretty sure there is a other problem like a outdated FSUIPC!
Its no matter if MF is on a other Harddisk or outside of the FSX Folder.... In theory it can be also on a different Computer within a network. Mobiflight itself have never a connection to the SIM itself.... So it not know if you use FSX, P3D, Xplane or FS2020. It just talk to FSUIPC !

At the End.... Please get sure you use Mobiflight in ADMIN Mode.... specialy if you install it in a protected folder like in downloads ! I personlay use ADMIN Mode at all time.
Important is also that SIM and MOBIFLIGHT must be run in the same mode..... Both as Admin or Both as Non-Admin !
Good Luck !

Thx for the quick response.

Another problem when i install fsuipc 4.975 is that when i launch fsx, after about 10sec fsx close again.
when i then remove de modules folder in fsx it seems that fsx works fine again.

Hi

Do you install FSUIPC correctly ? . You can not simply delete the folder by hand. this will struggle the registry.
After first install there must be a popup in FSX that initialise the FSUIPC DLL in the Sim ( Confirm window)

Maybe the issue is the mode. Get sure you run FSX as Admin. Also the FSUIPC Install process should be run as admin.
Another fact is to wait. If i remember right years ago when i work with FSX.... the first startup after FSUIPC Install take few minutes and looks like it freeze.
Good Luck !
