Hello:

because of MF not working anymore I wanted to start from scratch so what I did:

- directly in Arduino program load sketch for erasing EEram
- deleted the MF directory totally

After that I downloaded MF from this site and installed it again and run it.

First thing MF says after running it for the 1st time is that there is a configfile with orphanage:



Now: how is that possible it knows there has been a previous install when I deleted the program from my SSD and I cleared the EEram in the Mega?

I also searched the register of W10 but did not find any entries.

What does this mean and what should I 'say' here: ok or cancel?


The first time I clicked on <cancel> and installation of FW went on. Then MF came with this, my previous, list:


How is this possible that MF still knows my settings and what should I do or what did I forget to really start from scratch?

Yes there is just a little "recovery" outside of the MF installation.... But just a TXT File to backup the Settings.
It´s located in the folder C:/users/YOURNAME/AppData/Local/Mobiflight ( Hidden folder area.... You see all this LOCAL Stuff from hundrets of Programmes just if you use ADMIN Mode) .

In this File the settings ( Like Logging Mode, FSUIPC Polling and also the "Last used File" is saved.

And THATS your awnser....

1. The MCC File you use ( You called it Settings..... But you mean the current Project) File called in your case MF 29-10-2020.mcc .
Pretty sure this File was NOT saved and finaly deleted in the MF Folder.... You save this file on a other place and forget to delete it.... e.g. in "My documents"
So Mobiflight after fresh install still use the Information from that TXT File and "try" to load the last used file.... And in case it was not deleted it would be load.

2. The "Orphaned Modules warning" Occure in case you load the old file ( i explane above) BUT the MEGA you used that time no longer exist ( Cause you EEPROM it)
So Mobiflight simply tell you " The current Config File (mcc) look for the Old Mega ( SN 914-905) But can not Find it..... BUT it found a "new Mega" (SN AF-7-350) and it offert you to automaticy use THIS one instead of the old one.
This function is normaly used if you change Hardware in case of a Broke Mega e.g.

Summary: All is correct. You just forget to delete the MCC File in that case !
