Hi, i'm in progress with using placeholders for some functions in my small panel.

Only a doubt: if i choose i.e. one character like the letter "a" for a placeholder this can interferee with the use of the same letter "a" if is used with the keyboard to send commands to the simulator ?
Or the variable assigned at the placeholdee is working only inside Mobiflight code ?

Thanks

Thats no problem.....

This is just "code" and have no influence to other things like Key Press. To make it more easy we choose for a single symbol like "a" and not allow longer names .... Technical the varibale can be everything. For example you could call it "ForestGump" ( if mobiflight won' t be limmited) ..... Then Formula would be if(ForestGump=1,0,1)

NOTE: Only one important fact..... If you use the placeholder as a variable in a formula (Transform, Compare) you should avoid math symbols.
So NOT use things like + - * / $ > and so on..... Cause those are operators and would occure in a issue.
Otherwise....
If you use the placeholder as a Entry in a LCD Display you should avoid real Characters and Numbers like a-z or 0-9 cause here it give a issue if you use that character also in the Text..... For example you would use a placeholder with symbol "C" ..... And you write on Display : COM1 : cccccc ..... Then the "C" from "C"OM is used also as a placeholder. HERE its recommend to use symbols like +#*% and so on cause you normaly not use them as "text" in the Displays !
Good Luck !
