hi all. i'm a newcommer here.
past days i managed to make the program work on a UNO. uploading firmware and making the Led (13) blink when parking Break is active.
All happy about this success i purchased 4 x MAX7219 willing to daisy-chain that and make NAV1,2+COM1,2 displays.

unfortunately from the very moment when i tried to UPLOAD the config to the board everything started to go wrong.
The config upload took longer than just the led example from tutorial and a message said it could not upload it.
From that moment the UNO was not appearing as a uno anymore but as a 'unknown' in the devices list.
The infos in 'information' are partly correct : it says Port: COM5 and Type : Arduino uno BUT in Firmware and Serial it says N/A
Every time i restart the Mobiflight it detects the arduino and offers to upload the firmware. Each time i can do this and it seem to succeed (message says : 'the firmware was successful')
unfortunately after this the options to Add Device are greyed. if it press any of the 2 last choices (regenerate serial or Reload Config the app has an unhandled exception)

i was thinking that this failed config upload Bricked my UNO, so i tried with another one. Same effect in the end.
strangest thing is that if i use arduino IDE and i upload the example Blink sketch it works so i assume that the uno actually WORKS fine and its
an issue with the mobiflight app ?

Ps: when mobiflight detects the arduino on start the arduino rx/tx leds go crazy (normal) like if everything was going fine.
Same when uploading firmware it seems the leds on the board are doing the correct sequence.
whats more worrying is that once the upload is done the TX led blinks all the time like if the board was in an infinite loop or something.

Ps2: tried in various usb ports on my computer. reseting the uno, rebooting windows.. nothing to do always the same error.

i would be glad to receive help.

and i think i will just order a mega pro mini i you guys say the problems will be gone.
just wanted to be sure that the mega pro mini has no problems, i prefer this format than the big mega.

also i own a arduino micro pro, i was reading that you are working on that one to work too ?

I will recheck this. I personaly use MEGA only. I´m conservative. In case i know the Mega work 100% and any bug will be fixed soon cause most of Users have Megas and will send angry Emails to Sebastian i simply use this.

After reserach i get wondering what you guys always talk about with "Micro Pro". there exist different ones. And as i understand most of them can not be compatible.
I will talk to Sebastian as soon as possible. And will confirm this fact.


If you need a faster awnser.... Simply use MEGA..... this will work garanteed.

From all lists i got this board have not enough memory ( 32kb only ..... Instead to MEGA with 256kb)
If my information is correct MF Firmware is still on the limit of the MEGA..... So how can it work with a Memory that is only 15% ??
