Hallo,
at every start of Mobiflight i get the message that the firmware of some modules is out of date and i have to update them. Usually between two and four. Even after closing the program and restarting it after a few minutes this message appears! Any solution?
Thanks
Günter

"Under Investigation"

Please at first confirm a little fact....

1. How many boards are connceted overall ?

2. Do you use US Hubs.... If Yes are they Powerd ? If Yes how many Ampere got the device and how many Boards are on that Hub.
If possible tell us how many boards are in use..... How many Hubs ..... How powered. and so on.

3. Can you figure out a logic.... E.g. only board of a specific Hub are involved .... OR Are the 2-4 Problematic boards always the same ?
Can you avoid the situation by change something..... For example if you got 7 Megas on a Hub and always 2-4 of them are problematic..... What happen if you for testing disconnect some boards so only e.g. 5 remain. Does it then work.

4. Can you confirm the SAME Setup still work without problems in a prior Version of Mobiflight ?
Good Luck !

Unfortunately I can't answer all questions immediately, because most boards are hidden behind the cockpit and hard to reach.
But I can state the following:
- a total of 11 Mobiflight boards are installed
- all boards are connected via powered USB Hubs
- I cannot figure out a logic, there are different and usually 3-4 boards affected
- I can absolutely confirm that this configuration worked fine with P3D_V5 (and suitable Mobiflight version)

Günter

It's kind of crazy: after updating Mobiflight to version 8, I was happy because there were finally no constant firmware updates for the connected boards. After the update to 8.0.1 they are there again. With EVERY restart of Mobiflight I have to update the firmware on about 8-9 Mobis (out of a total of 12), even if the restart is immediate. In the meantime it takes quite a few minutes until the software is ready for use.
Am I really the only one with this problem?
Greetings Günter
Btw: I updated to 8.0.1 because I had the Problem with wrong brightness intensity

LOL :w00t: ... ( Whatever it is sad basicly  )

Looks like this is a confusing bug.
If i read correctly then the initial problem was solved within the BETA Progress ( 7.10.0.0 to 7.10.0.16) or finaly with v8.0
BUT
It come back again with 8.0.1

As i know Sebastian also fix some problems with 8.0.1 in case some Users had Startup Errors. Means he solve the problem for them BUT kill again your system.

Badly i can not help you here myself.
It´s high recommend to Join the Discord Group and get in contact to Sebastian. Tell him the full story and link him this Topic.
Hopefully he can reproduce the situation and understand what changes in 8.0.1 occure in this old problem again !
Good Luck !

Same here!

First had the issue after upgrading to 8.0 => constant firmware updates for my 4 Arduinos, which always ended with an error message.
I then deactivated the Auto-Firmware Updates and it worked, until updating to 8.02.

Now even with Auto-Firmware Updates deactived, the Mobiflight app is just super slow! Every click takes about 1 Minute to be executed. Constant "No Reaction" message in main app window...

I tried to reinstall and cleared also the local app files. Same effect

Tried to download older versions, but the links listed in below post don't work.

Please help!

Thanks,
Michael

Whatever why.... The Link for 8.0.0 no longer work.... Maybe in case this Version include a major bug then Sebastian decide to remove it completly....
But the expalned system still work. For example you can change the adress to 7.4.0 and irt work.
So just choose a other version vor testing.

About Problem.

Please try to get in Contact to Sebastian.
My System work fine.... So i can not reproduce this.
Good Luck !
