I tried it with my micro pro and it is still working.
Please enable beta updates in the settings menu if you experience problems with 7.10. and see if the beta version fixes your problem.

It's possible the Pro Micro 'bricked' itself. This happens quite easily as can be read on the internet. Mine bricks almost every time I try to upload from Mobiflight so I stopped using the Pro Micro. Luckily via Google info how to 'unbrick' it can be found too.
