Hello,
I'm new to Mobiflight and it looks to be some really good software. My cockpit was setup using Simvim and Xplane and am working on making the switch to MSFS 2020 and Mobiflight. I'm having a weird issue and wanted to see if it was something I was doing wrong or if anybody else had experienced it.

I'm currently using:
Mobiflight - ver 7.10
FSUIPC7 Beta

I'm using the 5 position rotary switch for the Cessna 172 ignition switch. I have programmed the software with both Offsets or Event IDs and get the same behavior moving through the startup sequence (off, right mag, left mag, both, and start). I can move through off, right mag, left mag, both in either direction and everything works fine, but as soon as I move to 'start' that is where the weird behavior comes in when you try to turn off the actual cockpit switch. If I move the cockpit switch to the 'start' positon the engine will start just fine but when I move left through the shutdown sequence (both, left mag, right mag, off) as soon as I move the switch to the 'off' position the switch in the sim move to 'both'. I then have to move the actual cockpit switch to 'right mag' which the sim correctly simulates and moves to the 'right mag' and then when I switch the cockpit switch to 'off' the sim switch will go to 'off'

Anyway, I'm new so wanted some feedback from the community. Appreciate the help.

Hi

You perfectly explane us what happen..... But you not explane us what you do.

In FSUIPC7 are many bugs. We must wait until it´s final. So the issue can be simply a bug in FSUIPC.

It can also be a Electrical Problem. So you should test your switch. For example remove all wires from the Arduinio expect one of the Positions. Test. If it work so but not if more switches ( for example the one nearby) is connected then you maybe ot a solderbridge on the switch..... So a Set to Position X also send a sigal to Pin Y or Z.

Finaly it can be a issue in your config. If you for example use a relase comand here on one of the positions this is wrong and occure in those errors.
Multi Pos Rotary should use on Press ONLY.

************
Summary:
I not own FS2020 so i can not test way 1.
Without sit on your computer i can not test way 2
Without see your config i can not test way 3
You have to do the testing work ! I would exclude 2 and 3 ..... If both is correct then it is 99% sure finaly a bug in FSUIPC !
Good Luck !
