Hi,

I can't seem to get the AP V/S Hold toggle working with a button in MSFS2020.

Have set it up using the FSUIPC offset, but unlike other things (AP Altitude Hold for example) the command doesn't ever seem to get passed to FSUIPC/MSFS2020.

I have an LED set up which lights up fine when I enable VS mode in game, and then turns off once it's hit it's desired altitude so some part of it must be working fine.

I notice in the FSUIPC7 console that the commands get written to the log::

2908453 WRITE0[9276] 07EC, 4 bytes: 00 00 00 00
2908453 WRITE0[9276] 07EC, 4 bytes: 01 00 00 00

But unlike the AP Altitude Hold where the event appears directly after nothing happens with the AP V/S Hold.

Am I doing something wrong or is AP V/S Hold not supported in MSFS2020 yet?

Thanks.

If your input for another function work ( e.g. 07D8 Altitude Hold) and you did the same logic for 07EC and it not work then the issue must be in FSUIPC

As we say multiple times..... Mobiflight (With 7.10.0) is fully compatible from our side. In case some functions can be used as Input and Output already this is the confirmation Mobiflight work 100% fine.

If i check the Beta Offset list i can see there is only a confirm for the READ of that Offsets. No WRITE note at the moment.
Good Luck !

In case i not own FS2020 and FSUIPC7 myself ( i will wait some weeks until Beta status if over) i got my list from Sebastian.

He said it´s inlcuding within the FSUIPC beta installation. Its a Excel file called "offsetStatusV0.1"
Good Luck !

Thanks! I found a 'offsetStatus-v0.4' file in the FSUIPC installation folder, and I can see that VS hold can be read but not set.

Hopefully it will get implemented at some point!

Follow up to this, is it possible to set the button press to send out a key combination instead (ctrl + v in my case)? I tried using the action type of key in Mobiflight but the info never seems to get passed to FSUICP/MSFS. Using my keyboard to do the button combo works fine.

Hi again

Technical this is the right solution..... BUT this not workes with FS2020.

In older Sims ( P3D) we do exactly that.... things that won´t work with Offsets/events we simply simulate Key Presses.
But Microsoft include a security System or something simular in FS2020.... So Sebastian still tested a lot of things but find no way to send the Keys to the Sim like in the past.

Solution:
1. Wait for MS ..... Hopefully they understand the needness of many cockpitbuilders and offer a way to do this in the future.

2. Using alternates. I not got FS2020 so i can not test.... But you can do if you like.
Use VJOY. This is a tool that simulate Joysticks. You run that programm in Windows ( autostart in Backround mostly) . There you define Joysticks that not physical exist but are seen in the system. With Mobiflight you can set a Button to those virtual Joystick buttons.
Theory: Maybe that are shown in the Sim..... So you not set "CTRL x" to a function You will now use Joystik X Button Y for it.

3. Wait for FSUIPC in final status. We can normaly send Keys also to FSUIPC..... If this work we can use that "bypass" in the future !
Good Luck !

Thanks, hadn't thought about using vjoy! That should work in the interim until it gets sorted by another method.

Edit: vJoy works perfectly!
