Hi friend sorry for my late reply. May be you know we had a religious Kurban Festival in our country. This is why I couldn't help you. However I see you have done the code thing. It was like mine except "ipc.sleep(100)" this code. As I said before there was a latency with this way. A couple of days ago I tried the original FSX mcp Altitude offset and try to configure the transform and it was better except for example you are at 15000 ft and mcp alt is at 15000ft, it doesnt change unless you touch the VS. But this is more stable when compared to read and write Lvar. It is up to you my friend I showed the way. If you need any help, please do not hesitate to write.

Keep up the good work... :) :) :)

@bennnozgurum

Thanks a lot for the reply, really appreciate you taking out the time to answer my queries :)
yep you are correct, the offsets seem to be more stable than reading the L:vars , am still in the trial phase of things, slowly figuring out things.

Does you FLCH mode work fine ? for me its seems a bit off, after take off , when accelerating i select, CLIMB THRUST - FLCH - VREF80, But the aircraft accelerates way beyond Vref80, I have to disconnect A/T and then reduce the thrust manually. :cry:

Also may ask how you got the IAS-Mach switch operational ? Cant seem to find the L:var for that, also not sure how to write the pre-condition for the output

With regards
AJ

Honestly I don't use FLCH mode, I made it operational using mouse macro but since I do not use it during flights, I don't know it really works or not? Also, do not forget with QW 757 not all the things operational. Please read the pdf file which gives informations about all the displays, buttons, annunciators if they are simulated or not.

I use VNAV during climb and cruise so I don't need IAS-MACH switch and also I don't make it operational. However I will look at it and when I find the L:var, I will inform you my friend...

Have a nice day...

I prepared a tutorial for speed mode selector and displays for you. You can watch it and adjust it, my friend...

The Lua code for speed mode selector button is: "L:SPEED MODE SELECT"
The transform setting for mach value display is: "($*100)/65534"

Wow thanks a lot for the video, shall try this at the earliest and update you on how its works out.

I did check the manual, they say that it works, maybe its not working because i am running FSX on my laptop with the most minimum aircraft setting

Shall post some pictures on how my MCP is looking just need to get some stickers and some basic paint work in place :P

I'm a nubie to LUA and programming for FSX-SE. I've been studying FSUIPC and LUA programming and I'm slowly getting a very basic understanding but have a long way to go. Interesting reading this thread because I am trying to build a simple overhead panel to interact with the QW757.

I'm using Win10, latest FSUIPC and Bodnar Boards for switch interface to the computer.

Unfortunately I have been unable to get Mouse Macro's to work within FSUIPC for the switches on the QW757 that don't use FSX commands. I never got a pop up box indicating it recognized the mouse click on VC switches. I assumed this was because QW does not use C/C++ for programing their switches but it seems @bennozgurum was successful (and others were able to use other means for determining the offsets for these switches). When I tried LOGGING my mouse clicks nothing showed up except the built in FSX commands (like BATTERY toggle). There was no pop up information when I mouse clicked on Hydraulic Pumps, IRS, Fuel Pumps etc.

Tonight after work I will try KEY2Mouse. There are some other ideas I've seen on line to try. As of now I have not been able to find any way to get the VC QW757 overhead to interface with switches. Do I need to use MobiFlight to find these offsets? Does this require Arduino boards instead of Bodnar boards?

Sorry to bust in on this thread. You all seem very knowledgeable about programming LUA, using offsets and variables and I'm just getting started. Appreciate any help you can offer.

Regards, Rick

Hi "grandpa1955". First of all welcome to the lonely way of building 757 simulator :). However we can build anything with the help of mobiflight and I am sure I am in great debt to mobiflight because of this...

First of all, all the actions (input-output) of any airplane in FSX or P3d have got lua codes. If some companies do not have purpose of making money by selling p&p panels :)... Here is an example for an output lua code: "L:wing_anti_ice_valve". This is an output for wing anti ice button and;
0 = ALL LIGHTS OFF
1 = ON / L-R VALVE LIGHT ON
2 = ON / L-R VALVE LIGHT OFF
3 = OFF / L-R VALVE LIGHT ON
These are numbers of the situations that lua code tell us. How did I get these? You can use fsuipc logging mode or 3rd party addons like airmanager which has an option like "get available lvars".

For the outputs what we do is: we get the variable info from the lua code and write it to a free fsuipc offset like "66C0". (You can find a tutorial about this here: "https://www.mobiflight.com/forum/topic/251.html". Then we connect our led to this offset via mobifligh and of course arduino mega 2560 board.

For the inputs:
Again we have lua codes for the inputs like "L:wing_anti_ice_valve_clicked=toggle" you should use this function with mobiflight. However I advise you to read this post. "https://www.mobiflight.com/forum/message/10335.html"

IMPORTANT: In QW757 we have got many rotary buttons which has got more than 2 function i.e. Autobrake switch. We have got toggle function for "On-Off buttons" and set function to set the rotary switch to exact value i.e. "Autobrake switch to RTO position". Here is the problem coming for us. After lots of test flight with my MIP. I have realised that I set autobrake 1,2,3 but no autobrakes while landing. And I found the problem set function make the switch in QW panel in desired position but the plane doesnt know about it so you see it is Autobrake 2 but the plane behave like it is OFF. How can we manage it? I know it wont be easy but with a lot of precondition and increase-decrease function i.e."L:auto_brake_switch_clicked=1 increase L:auto_brake_switch_clicked=2 decrease" I have managed it to work...

Take it easy...
