Hallo zusammen,

wie ihr wißt, sind wir befürworter aktueller Updates. Dies gilt auch für Windows-Updates.
Nun scheint es damit ein ernstes Problem zu geben und wir müssen dieses Prinzip durchbrechen.

Wer auf seinem Computer das Update für .NET-Framework 2020-07 (July 14, 2020-KB4565627) installiert hat, hat fortan ein ernstes Problem mit MobiFlight. Es werden keine .mcc-Dateien mehr geladen.
Es kann nicht gesagt werden, ob der Fehler bei MobiFlight oder dem .NET-Framework update liegt.

Wer es installiert hat - wichtig ist July 14, 2020 - KB4565627 - sollte es de-installieren, dann läuft MF wieder wie gewohnt.

Aber Achtung: Es gibt auch .NET-Framework 2020-05 (KB4552925) vom 12.05.2020. Dieses hat keinen negativen Einfluß auf MobiFlight und sollte installiert bleiben.

Wenn die Ursache bei Microsoft liegt, müssen wir warten, bis von dort ein Fix kommt, sollte es an MobiFlight liegen, müssen wir auf ein Update von Sebastian warten. Dies wird dann leider ein wenig warten müssen, da Sebastian gerade aus den USA zurück nach DE umzieht und sein ganzes Hab und Gut in einem Container unterwegs ist.

Es gibt das Problem, daß wenn die Windows-Updates automatisch oder manuell laufen, dieses Update automatisch sofort wieder installiert wird.
Es kann dann sofort wieder gelöscht werden und/oder man stellt seine Internet-Verbindung als getaktete Verbindung ein. Bei den Updates sollte dann auch eingestellt werden, daß die Updates über die getaktete Verbindung heruntergelden werden.

Wer nicht Windows 10 hat, der hat auch andere KB-Nummern. In der Systemsteuerung nachsehen, welches das letzte Update für .Net-Framework 3.5 und 4.8 war. Dazu die KB-Nr notieren und exakt dieses Update deinstallieren. Danach sollte MF wieder laufen. Sorgfältig vorgehen, bei falscher KB-Nr wird u.U. das System "zerschossen".
Wichtig ist in diesem Zusammenhang, bei der Windows-Version die automatischen Updates abzuschalten, bis das Problem beseitigt ist. Sonst führt dies dazu, daß mit dem nächsten Update dasselbe Update wieder geladen wird und ihr es abermals rückgängig machen müßt - täglich grüßt das Murmeltier ;-)

As you know, we are in favor of current updates. This also applies to Windows updates.
Now there seems to be a serious problem with this and we have to break this principle.

Anyone who has installed the update for .NET framework 2020-07 (July 14, 2020-KB4565627) on their computer now has a serious problem with MobiFlight. .mcc files are no longer loaded.
It cannot be said whether the error is with MobiFlight or the .NET framework update.

If you installed it - important is July 14, 2020 - KB4565627 - if you uninstall it, MF will run as usual.

But beware: There is also .NET Framework 2020-05 (KB4552925) from May 12th, 2020. This has no negative impact on MobiFlight and should remain installed.

If the cause is Microsoft, we have to wait until a fix comes from there, if it is MobiFlight, we have to wait for an update from Sebastian. Unfortunately, this will have to wait a bit, because Sebastian is just moving back from the USA to DE and all his belongings are in a container.

Edit:

There is a problem that if the Windows updates run automatically or manually, this update will automatically be reinstalled immediately.

It can then be deleted immediately and / or you set your internet connection as a clocked connection. In the case of the updates, it should then also be set that the updates are downloaded via the clocked connection.

If you don't have Windows 10, you also have other KB numbers. Check the Control Panel to see what was the last update for .Net Framework 3.5 and 4.8. Write down the KB number and uninstall this update. Then MF should run again. Proceed carefully, if the KB number is incorrect, you may "shot" the system.
In this context, it is important to switch off the automatic updates for the Windows version until the problem has been eliminated. Otherwise this will result in the same update being loaded again with the next update and you have to undo it again - the marmot greets every day ;-)

NOTE: As i know also other Windows Systems ( Like Win 8 or Windows 10 Build 19-03 ) have those Updates.
Maybe they called different..... So not only KB4565627 is problematic !

Simply check if there was a "---> .net framework Update <----" within the last days, and remove it !

I two had these problems but windows update (KB4565503) Has fixed it, the very latest update to Windows 10.

Hi am in trouble loading mobiflight when plane is loaded Mobi flight loads and configure active but when loaded plane and try to load mobiflight it says cannot create files in extracting firmware box. Have deleted updates as suggested before and syntax problem gone. Anybody help ? Please

Hi again problem seems to be when connected to x plane 11 have tried uninstalling and reinstalling mobiflight and xpuipc but no change I am sorry to say

Can you make a screenshot of the issue or explane more detailed what you do exactly.
I never read a Issue Warning that say something like "can not create file". ..... How should mobillfight create a file ??

Hi thank you so much for your reply. I have this new computer ready for fsx 2020 but all not going well. As I say when I load mobiflight without x plane 11 it loads great and I can use and programme configure and save. When I load x plane 11. The configure box loads then after a short while disappeared and replaced with box a yellow triangle with the text "some files could not be created please close application and restart this installation.
This I try to do but with same result every time mobiflight great on its own but not with x plane 11 ??? Thank you again for your help I am a keen but somewhat older simmer building my sim for the first time had success with other programmers but really like mobiflight if I can get it to go I am not sure how to send picture the next box is headed WinRaR self extracting archive inside box

Solved I stupidly installed mobiflight inside xplane folder. Once I removed it from there all ok and on to some fun .76 and still learning. Thank you for your kind attention to me

Hi all. Just a note.after spending a week trying mobiflight and getting very frustrated. I have at last found my biggest problem. At least half of the jumper pins ordered from Amazon. Do not work .having tested all I am having no problems from the good ones apart from my mistakes .please peeps I urge you to test befor using grrrrrrrrrr
