Hi there,

Im using Mobiflight for quite a while now.. I was programming my AFT Overhead but today I started up mobiflight and its not opening up my config file anymore. I got this message: (Your config could not be loaded. Please check for Syntax errors). So I thought maybe the file is corrupted, but when I make a new clean config file and save it with one switch programmed and I try opening it again I get the same error, with or without boards connected. I also get a message when I click on ''Edit'' on a config line: (Error on loading presets. Presets are not available for selection) I haven't seen that message ever. I tried a couple of things: Removing all mobiflight files and reinstall them. I deleted the firmware from the boards and installed them with a fresh Mobiflight firmware. But it doesn't seem to work at all. Any Ideas?

This is a issue in case of latest Microsoft Windows Update !
July 14, 2020-KB4565627 Cumulative Update for .NET Framework 3.5 and 4.8 for Windows 10 Version 2004

Please de-install this update.... then Mobiflight should work perfect again.

Maybe Microsoft "hotfix" this Problem..... If not maybe Sebastian can find a way in the future to make MF compatible to it. For now simply ignoring this updates seems to help !

That may be, but then have a look into your update list and search for the latest .Net-Framework update (should have been installed after you last working session and the next use of your sim).
Write down the KB-Nr and go to your control-panel and search an update with this KB-Nrumber. This Update you have to remove/uninstall. Important is the KB-number, otherwise you damage your system!

At first I couldn't get it to work but it does not show in your programs list, I had to type in search: update history and there you can deinstall the updates. I also had to disable automatic updates otherwise it will install the updates again when you reboot.

Hi, I just install Mobiflight ver. 7_8_3 and nothing work anymore. The program does not recognize my Mega 2560 and all my configuration is gone.
I tried to find the update KB4565627 but I couldn't find it.
Could some one give me a hand.

If Mobiflight Start without a Syntax Error then the Problem with Net Framework is fixed.
Whatever i would simply enable Windows Auto Update and run a check for new updates.... It will show you if you need something !

About non detected Megas.

While i test the new Version of Mobiflight i do a lot of Runs. Technical all work fine but in the verry first run i got same experiece like you ( thought this was just a unlucky circumastance)

Please delete Mobiflight by hand ( Simply delete the files in the folder you have curently install MF ).
Then go to Homepage and DOWNLOAD the 7.8.3 .
Copy the Exe file into the EMPTY folder you like to install MF ( mostly the same you used before)
Run the Exe File

This should make a clean Install.

After this restart your computer and disconnect/reconncet your Megas from USB.
THEN all was fine in my system.... And after some Seconds the Megas get detected and Mobiflight ask you to flas the new firmware !

For your information, at the very beginning I got a message warning me about this file, probably Win10 defender didn't recognized it.
Also I have an extra question. I designed and built an ALT Gauge and I cannot go over 32700 feet. I got an error (Probably a variable type). How can correct this and be able to go as far as 36000 feet.

Well, bad luck. I try to run MF again and it doesn't recognize my module anymore. Now I'm lost!!
I disconnect and reconnect the board but the result is the same. Could it be in the Register???

Sometimes it recognized my Mega sometimes not. Most part of the time, not. In case there is not a way to solve this issue, can I return to the previous version. I didn't save a copy of my configuration files with the previous version.

I have the same problem, but, in my notbook Mobiflight steel working, on pc it is crashing! Allways.

When you update to 7.8.3 ( Up to date Mobiflight) you ALSO update your windows.

I can not check this anymore..... But sure.
If old Mobiflight not run with new Windows NET. Framework Patch ( the problem lots of you guys reported) then pretty sure the NEW Mobiflight 7.8.3 can also not run with the "old" windows System.
Sebastian rework Mobiflight to be compatible with the last week Dot-Net Framework patch..... so you mut patch this, too !

Step 1: Patch Mobiflight to 7.8.3
Step 2: Patch Windows to be Up To Date ( All available Updates )
Step 3: If not work delete MF by hand and install a NEW Version by download from Homepage.
Step 4: After Start Mobiflight wait 10 Seconds..... The " You need new Firmware" Page open for me after maybe 5-10 Seconds !

So why After win 10 updates is my mobiflight Version 7.8.3 only finding my mega when I Click on help Then check updates then a note says I am running latest software no update required Close the note then the module goes green tick and its found ? Is there something I have to do to overcome this problem so I can use as before The update I have reinstalled mobflight 3 times now on two pcs On my network and it does it on both pc ‘s I run 3 megas on one win 10 pc and 1 mega on another pc all fsuipc wide installed They worked flawlesly before all Updates.
