Why if I replace the usb hub mobifligth no longer recognizes the cards and if you assign them to the only one recognized after he sees only that instead of all the connected cards?

on my overhead of 737 (PMDG) I connected 5 megs: four on one hub and one on a second hub.
the first hub is a bit old and continues to turn on and off, just touch it and change its state.

then I removed the cards from that hub (the one from 4) and I used another one.

It happened that MF even restarting it recognized the missing cards as orphans and only saw the card that had remained connected to the other hub.

now assigning the scede to the only recognized one, however, MF sees only that card and assigns all the programming to that only card.
If I unplug that card and connect the new hub with the other 4 cards, MF does not see them.

I have upgraded to new computer for the new fsx2020. But was in plane in old computer. I am getting ready for new sim but the xpuipc and mobiflight on new comp. fruitcake not connecting and mobiflight says it can't load configure because of syntax probs. I am a 76 year old simmer so not too great on the tech side but able to correct things if given instruction. Please help if you can.

I have not yet installed that update, my problem is of a different type ... MF does not see the mega connected after replacing the usb hub

Your problem looks like the descripted Problem with the Windows Update.

Badly i never got those problems ( good to me, bad for you) ..... So i can not directly help

In the past we have some workarounds and mostly those problems was gone.

1. Admin Mode ! So many things are fixed if users work in Admin Mode all time.

2. Change of Cable. A Bad USB Cable ( mostly the cheap "giveaways" included in USB Hubs or Megas) can be problematic. If possible use a other cable ( Maybe the old one you use for the other Hub that basicly work in the past. OR instead a new one if you still use this cable..... Maybe the cable was the problem in the past and the old Hub was still ok.

3. A Bad Mega ??? Try to use only 1 of the 4 Megas for testing..... Or try to connect the "other" Mega from the second Hub on the new one. Simply find out if you can see a logic.

4. Old Drivers.... Chck your USB Controller Drivers !

5. Power suply. I heard about USB Hubs that are realy only work if you use the recommend Power suply

6. Broke USB Port. Maybe the error Hub also destroy the Port you connect it..... Try to connect the new Hub on a different USB Port of the Computer !

7. Double start of Mobiflight. Some Users report a Bug a Board is only shown if they start Mobiflight 2 times.... So Start MF Close MF Start MF and then they shoul be there.
( Thats a Bug and Sebastian need to check.... But for the moment this helps those users)



Summary: Do some Testings.... Maybe if you got a new Mega try to connect it there and check if a "clean" one is shown.... If you got another hub test it. Also Cable change is a idea.
