Hello,
I am planning a 737 pedestal project and really would like to have fully functional radio tuning panels like they put in newer 737s. I'm not sure that FSUIPC supports that kind of com system but would like to figure it out.
Thanks,
Conner

Hi Conner!

Welcome to MobiFlight!

As far as I know, this is currently only possible with the PMDG B737NGXu with the P3DV4 / 5.X tarpaulin also uses this grid. These have the current 8.33 kHz grid for the COM frequencies in the COM area. All others still use the old 25kHz grid.
You would have to read from the supplied lists of EventIDs for the details of what has been implemented for the respective aircraft for your planning. Since I don't have such an implementation, I don't know whether the developers have made all features accessible from the outside.
You would have to see what the virtual aircraft can do and then read in the SDK whether all of this can also be implemented for an external pedestal.
Many things can already be used from FSUIPC. These and the aircraft-specific features can be configured via MobiFlight.
If you have any questions, you can ask them here. You can also contact us via Discord (https://discord.gg/99vHbK7).

Hi

Stephan already said the most important facts.....

For the 8.33 grid you need P3Dv5 ..... All older systems work with .25 grid. ( Whatever not problematic.... You can dummy the 6th. diggit already)
Most important question is what AddOn you use..... For example PMDG, ProSim and so on mostly include internal logics to build the new VHF Systems in a good way.

Parts that are problematic:

ADF Stby ..... Here FSX/P3D can be problematic cause normaly we can just change the Active ADF directly.... A Panel where you got a swap button and encoders to change the STBY ADF is not supported directly..... But again.... AddOns like PMDG support this !

XPDR ..... Here Boeing Style is working.... Airbus Keypad Systems won´t work. ( Will work with a good AddOn again)

Multipanel 3way Coms ( Like in B737 800 NG ) need a bit of own logics and custom Offsets if you have no AddOn aircraft. Possible but some additional work) . With AddOn again no problem !
Good Luck !
