Hi,

I am currently installing all the components for my 737 Light Switch panel and have now reached the engine start section. I am struggling to install the rotary switches and then use them with mob flight to control the two engine start controls.

Would anybody be able to assist me in the PMDG offsets to use and how to set this up along with the rotary switches?

I have attempted creating each individual pin on the switch as an individual button but noticed there is no individual offset for each section of the engine start knob (GND, OFF, CONT ETC).

Thanks in Advance,

Hi valco1234,

welcome to MobiFlight!

i think you found the EventID 69751 for EVT_OH_LIGHTS_L_ENGINE_START and EventID 69753 for EVT_OH_LIGHTS_R_ENGINE_START
As Parameter you have to transmit
0: GRD
1: OFF
2: CONT
3: FLT

For the EVT_OH_LIGHTS_IGN_SEL take EventID 69752 with the parameters
0: IGN L
1: BOTH
2: IGN R

That's it. Report your experiences

Stephan

Thank you for your help, OFF, CONT and FLT worked a charm but the GND toggle wasn't working. I have it set as EventID 69751 and the custom parameter to 0 but the knob doesnt move to GND.

Any ideas?

Which knob doesn't move? The virtual knob in the simulator or your real knob?

Virtual one, sorry about that. I have tried other pins without success also.

Thanks,

You have to set as follows

Config 1 for LEFT: 69751 0 for GRD
Config 2 for LEFT: 69751 1 for OFF
Config 3 for LEFT: 69751 2 for CONT
Config 4 for LEFT: 69751 3 for FLT

Same for RIGHT with EventID 69753

You need 4 configs for each engine starter.

For the Ignition you need 2 configs
config 1 ON PRESS EventID 69752 0 ON RELEASE EventID 69752 1
config 2 ON PRESS EventID 69752 2 ON RELEASE EventID 69752 1

What are your results?

Stephan

That's what I tried previously. I'll give it another try just to make sure.

Thanks,

All Fixed (I am an idiot) turns out I had a broken wire connected for that particular parameter, a simple wire change was all that was needed. Thanks for all your help it is greatly appreciated.
