Have a great day!

Hello Sebastian, I am a new user and i made my first project with a servo, following your tutorial was easy and clear enough to let me finish it successfully. Now I am planning to use a potentiometer together with the servo for the flap lever, when will it be compatible and how do I connect them together?

And how do i let my servo work on the pmdg?

Thank you

Francesco

Hi Francesco

I am not experienced with FSUIPC offsets for PMDG. Can somebody from the PMDG users jump in and help?
Have a great day!
Sebastian

Ok no worries, and what about the potentiometer configuration?

Potentiometers are currently not supported. In the meantime you could use an old gamepad and wire your potentiometer to it.

I actually already have built a flap lever - that's my use case too for the potentiometer. Please wait for the fall/winter season. I bet I can get it into the software until then.
Have a great day!

Good Day. I wondered if there were any more updates on the use of potentiometers? I am starting my build and this would be very useful to reduce the number of inputs needed for rotary switches as well. Thanks!

I know this is a old posting and it is still on the ToDo List..... But in the past other projects like LCD Displays was much higher prior like potentiometers.
((I HOPE Sebastian will comment this next time himself to inform about his planings))

My personal result.....
I have think about that stuff already, too.... But at the moment i not see a way to make this usefull working in Mobiflight !
MF not send a permanent command.... Only if a Input is done.
So your Potentiometer will only send Data while its turned..... If you use it for example to replace Rotary Encoders with Potis then ALL Switches have wrong positions on startup and must sychro on every systemstart by hand !
Additional there must be a complete new input logic implement in Mobiflight to controll different inputs in case of Pottti position. This is much more deeper like a basic poti support !

I THINK :
THIS all can be done with FSUIPC in a nerly perfect kind.... Why trying to implement a feature in a low quality to Mobiflight if it exist already perfect !
So the maby 10-20 Potis you need for a full Aircraft .... This can be done with 3-4 Arduino UNO ( less then 20$) and a direct FSUIPC Setup !

But shure.... If Sebastian will support it then we all can be happy !
Good Luck !
