Good evening everyone,

I have a problem with my flap gauge's servo.
I completed my MIP and installed a flap gauge among other things. Since I had no experience with Mobiflight, I connected the servo for testing as described in the corresponding Tutorial. The servo worked perfectly. Then I took the Arduino board, built it into the new MIP and connected all the LEDs. The servo remained connected all the time. Today I wanted to test the finished panel but the servo no longer works. The LEDs all light up as intended. The servo is still connected exactly as described in the Tutorial, I checked that.
I hope you can help me.

Best regards
Lars

Lots of issues can happen.
Not possible to directly tell you whats wrong.

1. Servo simply broke. Can happen whatever not normaly.... Like every other part in the world the servo is not unbrakeable.
--> Change Servo

2. Wrong Contact. Wire touch another one. Cold solder point . Maby you put the wire by mistake in wrong pin header.
--> Check all wires again

3. Electrical Problem... To much LED on the Board. If you overdrive the Power Limit then the servo can stop working
--> Rethink power needness and calculate if you are within the limits

4. Issue in Device Settings.... Maby while uploading the LED Devices you kill the servo Entry....
--> Check the Devices.... Maby delete the Servo Entry.... Upload settings without Servo.... Restart the Board and now create the Servo Again .... Upload again and restart.

5. Wrong Config
--> Check the Servo by TEST Mode in the Display Tab of Servo Config. Maby just your Config is wrong and not move it but it basicly work while test mode

6. Blocked Needle
--> Maby the needle can not move in case of wrong mechanic or to small housing. Get sure it can move free.

This are the first things i think about. Maby another spots are possible.
You must do some testings at first to find the spot of problem.... Then we can try to help you to solve it.
Good Luck !

Hi there,
Thanks for the answer.

I removed the flap gauge last night and examined the cables carefully. I found a fine cut on one of the cables that completely interrupted the cable. I have now exchanged the cable and it is working again.

Thanks for your help!

Best Regards.
