Hi,

I use the same setup since months without problems.:)
I have updated to 1.82 the day it came out, and made a few flights with success.
Last week, i added a LCD and it was OK.

Today, I have tried to add an encoder to my setup, but after a few modifications, MF Connector said there are errors in the file, an was rapidly freezing.
From now, my MF connector 1.82 is suddenly problematic : :scared:
So long my mcc file was there, MF connector was rapidly blocking and could not update the card.
So I have newly flashed the card with IDE (and after that, i can upload my .ino files on it and make them work well), ...but when MF is flashing it, it has errors and MF is closed and no way to open it again (or it opens but is not showing, I don't know how to find it in Task Manager). I cannot open it without restarting my computer.
I've tried the same after deactivating the corrupted file and disconnecting all the hardware from my Elegoo 2560, with same result : errors when flashing the card, MF connector is closed and no way to open it again.

I have installed the last version of Java (was a good thing for Sketch who had minor problems with library updating).

After that, I have tried 1.81 with same result.

So all my setup is lost an no way to begin from scratch.

What can I do ?

Hi

If Mobiflight Connector will crash or not open this is normaly a indication for a corrupt MCC file.... So not your Board setings are problematic..... the used Config is problematic.
In case Mobiflight normaly load the last file ( that was used while last seasson) there is a freeze or error while starting.

Please try the follow.

Simply remove the file (*,mcc) that is loaded normaly ( mostly your config file of your whole homecockpit you use all the time).
( not delete it.... Just rename it or move it to another folder)
THEN Mobiflight can not find the last used file and will start with a example file.

If MF work then without error warnings then you know.... Your MCC File is broke.

Possible solutions.....
1. Swap to a backup mcc file if you got it.
2. Try to load the borke file by hand in Mobiflight and research for the issue ´
3. If file can' t loaded then edit it with a Text Programm like Notepad++ and try to find the problematic part.

Appology for that.... In some rare cases Mobiflight ( or wrong user input) occure in a broke file.

****
If that is not the problem please give us more informations...... then we try to solve it.
Good Luck !

Hi,

.. And happy new year !

It cannot actualise my card, says no serial number and cannot regenerate.

And IDE can read a serial number for this card….

I think i have missed anything in this card and will try another one. (After installing MF firmware, is there a way to return back to "clean factory state" ?)

Regards

You said in first posting, you newly flashed the mega via IDE..... So i thought you already done it.

To completly remove Mobiflight Data from Mega you need to Clear the EEPROM
Open IDE..... In File Tab / Example you find the "EEPROM Clear Sketch"
Upload it and run it,,,, then all is gone.

You not need to upload ino files to flash new firmware! Simply clear the EEPROM and disconnect your Mega..... Reconnect it and stzart Mobiflight. Then MF will detect the "new" Board and see there is no firmware installed..... So it will ask you to flash the Mega to a Mobiflight Board!
Good Luck !
